      WILD timeline?

I've had 3 or 4 lucid dreams, and that was about a year ago. Now I'm getting back into the idea, and I was wondering how long roughly it takes from the time you close your eyes to the time you can enter your LD if you're just going to bed and attempting a WILD.

last night i got pretty far into the WILD, i felt the many stages of my body falling asleep and i saw the most vivid hypnogogic imagery I've seen yet, the problem was that after about 25 minutes, that was when i first saw this HI. it was a little strand of some kind of light that was just floating, morphing and shifting. i followed this light, but not physically with my eyes. this lasted about 15 seconds and afterwards, i didnt see any other HI. my body was extremely heavy and i had already gone through the stage where it wants you to move positions, and i had ignored that, and felt it become even heavier. i waited about ten minutes after i saw the little light, and after ten minutes of nothing i gave up. i think the problem may be that my sleep patterns are ridiculously bad, i go to bed at 4am and wake up at around 4pm. according to my sleep pattern, what time should i wake myself up to try a WILD or MILD?

I get that feeling of my body wanting to move all the time, it comes easy to me.. is that a good sign/step toward getting WILD?

yeah after about 20 minutes of not moving your body, thats your body's way of testing to see if your mind is asleep yet and if you ignore the urge to move it thinks its okay to shut down the body
i think thats like when sp starts to kick in?

Most of my successfull WILDs have taken an average of roughly 5 minutes. They can range anywhere between 2 and 15 minutes each. However, due to the method I use, the WILD will fail if I go past the 20 minute mark. Which is both a good thing and a bad thing, I guess.
