I've had 3 or 4 lucid dreams, and that was about a year ago. Now I'm getting back into the idea, and I was wondering how long roughly it takes from the time you close your eyes to the time you can enter your LD if you're just going to bed and attempting a WILD. |

last night i got pretty far into the WILD, i felt the many stages of my body falling asleep and i saw the most vivid hypnogogic imagery I've seen yet, the problem was that after about 25 minutes, that was when i first saw this HI. it was a little strand of some kind of light that was just floating, morphing and shifting. i followed this light, but not physically with my eyes. this lasted about 15 seconds and afterwards, i didnt see any other HI. my body was extremely heavy and i had already gone through the stage where it wants you to move positions, and i had ignored that, and felt it become even heavier. i waited about ten minutes after i saw the little light, and after ten minutes of nothing i gave up. i think the problem may be that my sleep patterns are ridiculously bad, i go to bed at 4am and wake up at around 4pm. according to my sleep pattern, what time should i wake myself up to try a WILD or MILD? |

Most of my successfull WILDs have taken an average of roughly 5 minutes. They can range anywhere between 2 and 15 minutes each. However, due to the method I use, the WILD will fail if I go past the 20 minute mark. Which is both a good thing and a bad thing, I guess. |
