      Need some help.

I've been trying to WILD for a while now, trying before I go to sleep and after a dream when I wake up, I tend to wake up now after every dream I have, I even had a dream where I realized that I was dreaming, tried to change the seen by closing my eyes and spinning but it went to a completely different scene (I was actually drunk before going to bed when this happened and it was the most vivid dream I've had in a while). Anyways, Whenever I try to WILD I can lay there for 2 hours or more and nothing, I can tell my arms and legs are falling asleep but my torso and my head (especially my eyes) never do, my eyes are the most difficult because even when I'm not paying attention to my sight and I see flashes of light in random places, waves of light boarders of light around my vision, but I never get colors just white light, and my eyes always move no matter how hard I try to keep them still. I've even lied still for 4 hours once, but I moved because I was laying on my side and my arm was in excruciating pain and I couldn't take it any more.

Any pointers to help get my head and torso to go into SP?

First off, when trying to (WI)LD, it might help to go to sleep sober.

Second, if you are unable to sleep for 4 hours in a certain position than that probably means that it's time to change positions. It doesnt matter what position you're in, the most important factor is whether you are comfortable or not. If you're not comfortable, your body wont be able to fall asleep.

It's not your body parts that go into SP, it's your whole body at once. So dont focus on what body parts are or aren't asleep, focus on trying to fall asleep whilst retaining your consciousness.

No one can tell anyone for sure what to see or expect when it comes to SP because the HI (Hypnagogic Imagery) is different for everybody. But what is similar for everybody is the feeling of your body falling asleep and your consciousness going into the dream world. It will feel something like falling through you bed, ceiling or walls; an all around exhilarating feeling that you cant confuse with anything else.

Practice, practice, practice. If you are acquainted with what SP feels like and what to expect, than you will be much better at WILDing.
