      My First Attempt

ok so first off, i just need to clarify, what im trying to do here is trick my body into thinking im asleep right?
Anyway, i was doing the whole thing where you lay there and i was doing the:
(Breath in 1 - Breath out im dreaming) i got up to around 370 i think it was when i think i fell asleep, im not sure i dont remember (My recall sucks.)
Here is what happened up to there, about 150 in i started to have this urge to swallow, however i didnt know if i should so i went for it and didnt know if it ment that my brain realised that i was still awake, then a little later since my mouth was open for some reason it was very dry. Basically what im saying is that is this ok, to keep your mouth moist etc or do you just have to endure it?
Also when doing this and getting to around 300, i kept finding it hard to concentrate and keep myself awake and had to really concentrate hard on counting to keep awake, is this normal?

Also this morning after actually waking up, i wrapped my black tracksuit bottoms around my head not coving my nose because i dont like not being able to not breath properly lay down comfortably and started this again. This time when i got so far in i started to see different scenes and scenarios, however they kept changing then on one i was sliding down a pole, i was basically saying what was happening to me so that i was still keeping concious and not falling asleep. then my mother walked in the room, and from there the door was open and all i could hear was noice from downstairs and couldnt concentrate, so i just gave up, was i close?

by the way this whole time i dont think i came across any form of SP.

SP works differently for different people. I don't think it is absolutely necessary to enter in SP. What's more important is that you enter into REM atonia so you don't go anywhere while you're dreaming.

I have only had one successful WILD. The other attempts failed because I wasn't properly motivated (in my opinion anyway).

Here's the advice that was given to me. After taking this advice I had my first WILD. I give full credit to KingYoshi (not stealing your ideas man). He told me to follow Jeff777's method of lying still and waiting for your body to give your mind a signal. The difference is is that if you haven't had any kind of HI or SP to change your position after 10-15min. Keep changing your position until you began to have SP symptoms. From there hang in there and keep yourself barely alert.

I wish I could explain my WILD better than I did in my DJ, but I'm afraid I can't. However, you may not see HI. I never see HI. I have only once and that was before I knew anything about lucid dreaming.

As far as having to swallow goes, it's best to try not to think about it. Easier said than done, I know. You can also slightly elevate your head so your spit doesn't pool in your throat.

Also you say your recall sucks. While a WILD may be easier to remember than a lucid you had during the night or early morning with your regular dream period, you should still seek ways to improve your recall. It is quite possible to be lucid and not be aware of the fact when you awaken. It has happened to me. Of course I later recalled the dream in full detail, but usually when I'm lucid I know the moment I awaken.

I'm sorry if this didn't help. But if it did, than yay!

I wish you the best in your WILDing endevours.
