Unable to leave body or go to a dream

I have no particular technique to go into SP. All I do is go to bed and as I am falling asleep I can recognize the sensation and go like "this is it".
I can feel the vibration and the buzzing noise in the head and then everything goes quiet. Then I can hear hear people talking like if they were standing next to my bed but never understand what they are saying and see shadows sometimes. I'm full aware it's all hallucinations. It still feels a little uncomfortable but I've pretty much gotten used to it. It only works in afternoon naps though, I've never been able to do it at night, not even using techinques.

I have a big problem though... I can't leave my body!, it feels very heavy or stuck to the "real body". I can lift my arms, sometimes I can lift my upper body or my legs but my waist wont move. I've spent quite a few mins in this situation until I give up and finally decide to wake up. I realize its all dream and it isnt my real body what I'm trying to move and all that stuff but I still can't do it.

I can only recall two times I was able to get off the bed.

1st- I got off the bed but and stood next to it but since it was a lot of work I still had my blanket on my head. I tried to took it off and felt it sliding down but it actually wouldnt move, eventually I gave up and decided to wake up.

2nd- I got off the bed, then I lost lucidity for a moment and walked to the bathroom, I looked at the window and noticed it was dark, I remembered I had gone to bed like at 2pm and remember all the "leaving the bed" struggle and realized I was still asleep. I walked to the shower and tried to walk through the shower wall but it didnt work, I kept bouncing back, haha, I tried a few more times without success, I gave up again.

I realize it sounds like I give up a lot but I just run out of ideas when I'm there

Anyway, my biggest concern is how hard it is to leave my bed/body. Has anyone had this problem? any suggestions?

Don't try and WILD before bed. You need a REM period to dream, and it takes a while to get there through the various other sleep stages. And even if you did the 1st few REM periods are fairly short.

WILD in the morning when your REM period is longer.
You will also enter it relatively quickly (sometimes immediately).

This sounds more like astral projection to me, than WILD'ing. In my experience AP is much more difficult. Have you tried a different technique such as visualization or counting?

OBE's is actually what I'm aiming for. That's why I prefer to try getting off the bed so I can try walking around the house try to see something that I can remember afterwards and not just imagine some image and jump into a dream.

Ok. well you are making great progress. Usually when I astral project it's on the astral plane, not on the physical plane, so it's hard to prove to myself that I did it. It's a lot more difficult for me than WILD's. It seems to me like you are doing everything right.

The only suggestions I can give you is to avoid sugar and alcohol.

Is that because the Astral Plane is somewhat - cough - dream like.
Do please avoid supernatural discussion outside of BD.
