Yes, I believe I had my first WILD!

So, I stayed home from school today because today is the last day till my fall break starts plus H1N1 is all over my school and they still are not closing it down.

I had a lucid dream before I awoke at 6:00 AM and then went back to sleep and may have entered SP but I'm not sure if I actually experienced that or if it was a dream. So anyways, after the SP I had another lucid and woke up at around 6:50. I started using a new mantra last night and since it gave me two lucids already I decided to do it again.

I was having trouble getting to sleep so I was being as still as possible, trying to let my mind wander until I felt this falling sensation. Its the same sensations I get when I've tried to WILD before but they go away quickly and I end up failing. So, I was kinda excited but I kept my eyes and body from moving and started to see weird, purpleish-redish shapes begin to form. Normally the falling sensation would have went away by now but I kept feeling it for about 20-30 seconds.

Then everything sorta stopped. A little dissapointed I opened my eyes and, like everytime I get out of bed, do a nose plug RC and to my suprise it worked!

It was an awesome experience and I'm so glad I finally had success. The only other time I came close was when one morning the same thing happend only I started looking "through closed eyelids" but then I tried too hard to look around and I ended up opening my real eyes. I'm definitely getting up early in the morning to try this again!

P.S. Sorry for the wall of text above .

Congrats on the WILD! It always feels kind of weird having that false awakening experience through a WILD, so I'm glad you did the RC to make sure. Sometimes it's easy to be fooled by how realisitic the dream is and believe the WILD failed when it really didn't.

Keep doing what you're doing! No matter what, I think that's the most important thing now. You found something that works for you, so stick with it.

Hey thanks for the support . False awakenings can be very frustrating and I'm very glad I caught this one, considering it was my first true WILD. I've got the whole next week to practice up on WILDing since I'm off for fall break, so hopefully I've found a good technique for me, like you said. Now all I need to do is perfect it .
