      Confusion

Every time my alarm wakes me up, I am always confused out of my mind. I have no clue what is going on, and I don't have any remembrance of why I had an alarm on in the first place. I feel that this is a big issue and it is preventing me from having a successful WILD.

How can I overcome this confusion?

      Heres what I would do.
      1. Set up a computer alarm clock, one which you can customize.
      2. Record yourself saying this: "BEEP---Hello _____, You might be wondering whats going on right now. This alarm is set to wake you up for a WILD. Get up, walk around a bit, go to the restroom. Then get back to bed and wild---BEEP"
      3. Set it for whatever time.
And now.. for a Stephen Strutmeyer Film...

1 Download a free alarm clock. Here's one:
      http://bluefive.pair.com/alarm.htm

2 Record yourself with your computer. If your computer doesn't have a microphone, there are cheap ones you can buy, or you can convince someone here to do it for you. There'll be recording software on your computer (Start/All Programs/Accessories/Sound Recorder), or if you want something fancier, use this:

      3. Set the alarm to use the file you recorded.

I assume what you're looking for is a way make a recording for free. If you don't have a microphone, you just need to find one you can borrow. Most of today's laptops come with one, which makes this not too difficult. Perhaps you have friends with laptops who might let you use one for a minute. Do you go to a school where they use Macs? All of those have microphones. Any decent store that sells electronics will have demo computers that you can use, many of which have microphones. Many cellphones can record a message and transfer it to a computer. There are lots of free ways to make a recording, these are only the most obvious ones.

Have you tried varying the time at which your alarm wakes you? If you wake up a little earlier or a little later, it'll wake you up in a different stage of sleep, and that may be less confusing. It might take a couple weeks of experimentation, but since you're capable of waking up in the morning, there's probably some time during the middle of the night when you can wake up without too much more difficulty.

Did you look at the first post?

And thanks Serith, I will have to try that.

I don't understand how that solution wouldn't help. If your own voice tells you your about to wild, you wouldn't be confused. I'm confused actually.
