Need help with "separating" or "exiting"

I have never had a lucid dream, but I know it will happen sooner or later if I keep practicing (which I am).

I have been trying WILD with the "wake back to bed" (WBTB) technique. I set an alarm for sometime between 4:00am and 4:15am. When it goes off, I stay up for 45 minutes. During that time, I drink some apple juice (I heard it helps lucidity) and read a book or go on dreamviews and read stuff. About 10minutes before I go back to bed, I stretch to relax my body when I lay down.

Then I start to do WILD. I can get into sleep paralysis, but when I start getting vibrations, I don't know what to do. I try to just wait for them to go away, but I can never tell if they're gone. When I the vibrations are finally gone (of which I am never 100% sure), I don't know how to "separate" into a dream.

I tried this method I read about, where you try to visualize yourself sinking beneath your bed, then you rotate your body 180 degrees so that your dream-head is at your waking-feet, and your dream-feet are at your waking-head. I have tried many times to use this method, and a couple other random ones, but I cannot separate.

Please help me to get from sleep paralysis into a lucid dream so I can start flying around and doing cool shit.
      Thanks!

I am at the same stage as you, can readily get into SP (and before or after this, can't remember, I feel a massive shift like I'm falling into my bed and that I'm sleeping on a water bed).

I've read that we're supposed to "separate" when a strong image appears (when you are in deep SP and are seeing HI) like looking in on the beginning of a dream and then you focus on something within this imagery and you find yourself within it.

(Please correct me if I'm wrong any WILDers out there, thanks.)

At this stage, do you see anything ? Any dream imagery forming ? What happens next: I you try to move, will it move your real-life body and wake you up ?

I don't have HI usually, so WILDS go "in the dark", with strange vibrations then feeling that I'm bouncing on the walls (it does'nt hurt ) or falling or sleeping in a rocky boat. Then it stops, I'm still in the dark but I can (sometimes with difficulties) move/walk (I'm really in a dream at this stage) and touch things. A room and images will then gradually appear.
      Dec. 2006 - July 2007:
      92 DILDs + 30 WILDs ; 75% too short, 24% decent, ~3 of 2 to 5 minutes
      (I stopped counting after that)

Sorry to the OP I'm not sure how to answer your question because I have never WILD'ed myself. I was wondering, to anyone who knows, what exactly HI is like. Is it actually in your field of vision? Vivid colors? Or is it more in your mind's eye kind of thing? Or does it differ for everyone?

I don't see any visuals. I don't know exactly how to explain it, but I think that I just need to practice more.
thanks for all the comments, I'll let you know when I get lucid for the first time.
