I have tried to WILD and have gotten to sleep paralysis perhaps 8 times before, but I always end up giving up after a relatively short amount of time after the SP because of how uncomfortable it is! It's so uncomfortable that it seems impossible to get to sleep while in it! I usually lay there in SP for around 10 minutes or so, before I end up coming to the conclusion that I am in to uncomfortable a position to ever get to sleep, and the discomfort of staying in SP makes continuing with the WILD attempt not even worth it. I can usually stay in SP for as long as I feel like, but SP is far from enjoyable for me. I don't even experience any hallucinations with SP whatsoever, probably because of how the discomfort keeps my mind wide awake. It seems as though I can lay in SP the whole night, and my mind won't even sleep for a minute...

Do any of you experience the same sort of discomfort with paralysis? Is there any way to ease the discomfort so that you can fall asleep? I feel like this is most likely the main thing that's holding me back from successful WILDing...

I even woke up from a dream early this morning in SP, and I thought I had this in the bag. I tried visualizing the dream I woke up from so that I could get back into it and be lucid, but there was just no hope, SP was just so uncomfortable that I couldn't go back to sleep no matter how hard I tried. I eventually just gave up, got myself out of SP, and went to sleep.

I'm amazed that SP doesn't wake me up every time I go into it during sleep... It's strange, because it always keeps my mind awake if it started while my mind was awake.
