Basically, I want a lucid dream and this seems like the best method to do that. I heard about it and tried it with no success at the beginning. I found it difficult to stay still but now I have no problem with it at all. However, I also was attempting WILD having not slept for like 5-7 hours beforehand. So, that may have played a roll into why it failed.

ANYWAY, the times tried WILD, I did experience some things, but I don't know if they mean I was on the right course. I would lie there, still, and after a bit, in my eyes, there would be little white lights (i.e, no longer just black) but they would come and go, not stay for very long. Also, three times or so, there would be a pretty bright light that would fill my entire eyes, as though someone had turned on a light outside my eyes or something (it did not stay as well).

As for my body, I would feel twitches occasionally, usually after I had been doing it a bit. And I don't even know with sleep paralysis. I've heard you will definitely be able to tell that you have it, and mine felt like it started at my feet, and that's as far as it went. It almost felt like they were just cold or numb or something? Like just cold because my room was cold. However, it also felt slightly different than just being cold so I don't know. I don't think I've experienced SP.

No hallucinations or sounds either. Could the white lights be the beginnings though? One time though, like 6:00am (with no sleep) I was lying in bed, trying to WILD, and after awhile, I felt this feeling of terror randomly, like it just came from in my body and expanded to fill it rapidly, then it left for a second and then it came back, and I opened my eyes (scared). Could that have been the start?

I'm patient with the process and I have no trouble staying still (I can easily do it for 20min but by then I expect something to be happening), I'm just wondering why it's not working?! I know having slept for 5-7h before hand helps and today I slept for like 5.5h and tried it with no success. I'm going to try it again, and hopefully it will work, but I was wondering about any tips, or maybe a timeline as to what to expect? I know everyone is different but I think it may be helpful to have an idea. Also, how much time it takes (also depending) and what SP feels like. SP feels different for everyone but I atleast want an idea. Thank you!
