No it is not important... just go pee and go sleep but wild instead... all you need is there... just dont fall asleep. Because most people will do that. |

I keep trying to do a WILD, but I try with a modification since I don't want to get up and wait for 30 minutes and do nothing just so I can go back to sleep. What I've been doing is just trying to go immediately after bed when my alarm goes off ~5 hours into my sleep. When I wake, I cannot for the life of me stay awake. I am concentrating on staying up but it never lasts. I just tried about 4 times and always fail. |

I would say so. It's what gets your brain active and aware again. If you don't want to have a wake period I would suggest taking some caffeine or drink coffee, which has had great reviews on another forum. Also, if you often wake after your dreams you can forget the alarm all together and try to DEILD. I have had much more success with DEILD after a wake period during WBTB though. |

It feels like I'm so tired I can't even see so I wouldn't even be able to concentrate on the images that are supposed to appear (I've never had a successful WILD so don't know exactly what to expect). All I can do is breathe. I'm not paralyzed or anything, but it's just an exhaustion feeling. And the past couple attempts I have gotten up and went to the bathroom. |

every wild try was succesfull till i came to this site, now i cant get anything... |

I tried again last night. I woke up 5 hours later and attempted to go back to sleep. What I find that keeps happening is that I will get to the point where I believe I am experiencing the "paralyzed" feeling (it's not so much I'm paralyzed but my whole body feels asleep like when you sleep your arm and prevent blood circulation). So if thats the feeling then ya I feel it. But beyond that I can't get anything to happen. I will just lay there concentrating on breathing and nothing proceeds. Finally I just get frustrated that I can't go back to sleep and just "release" myself from focusing and I will then go to sleep. I try for about 10 minutes and nothing. How long should I expect my body to go into the hypnotic imagery mode upon having that paralyzed feeling and is what I described the paralyzed feeling to begin with? |

A) Just keep awake and semi-conscious and keep waiting. |
