      Pre-nap before WILD

      Hey,

I was thinking of using this technique tomorrow. I originally planned to do a WBTB-WILD but then I had a better idea..

First, Iīm gonna take a normal nap, and set the alarm to a time where I know I have fallen asleep. Before taking the nap, Iīll make sure that when I wake up, I remember what to do.
So, after the alarmīs gone off, Iīll just shut it and instantly go back to bed for a WILD.

      I hope this works.

Still sounds like a WBTB-WILD, just cut short.

I guarantee it will work for the falling asleep and getting into a dream part. Not so much for the awareness part. Half the reason for the elongated time during the WBTB is to make the mind aware and stimulate motor function and consciousness which is vital to Lucid Dreaming.

yeah...exo's right. I tried something where I would set multiple alarms to go off through out the night, and go right back to sleep. I did this for a week. If i got lucid, it would normally occur about after 4-5 hours of sleep. During the first two hours or so I didn't even dream.

Are you talking about waking yourself up during a day nap? If so, I've found it pretty to easy to WILD after sleeping for half of however long your nap is (and they are very clear too). If I try a 1-5 second WBTB during the night though, I instantly fall back asleep.

Yeah, waking myself up during day nap. How long do you stay awake when doing this?

Just about 5 seconds (which strangely was just enough to keep me aware through SP). It might also have helped me that I WILD'd at the beginning of the nap, therefore when I woke up the lucid I was just having was still on my mind.
