      FILD tecnique questions???

Hey guys, I read about the fild method and read the replies. Most of the replies reported success which made me verrry happy and excited. But some of the minority of the replies also said that it failed or that the lucid dreams only lasted a few seconds. I"m going to try this tonight and wanted to ask you guys about any experiences you had with fild or any tips. Thx.

I tried it last night, but I didn't do it at the proper time. I did seem to have more dreams and to be half aware during them; almost drifting in and out of consciousness. I'm going to try it again tonight. I did have some trouble with my mind being very active and I think some of this came from getting up and going to the bathroom. I feel that it would work based off of LaBerge's theories in Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming. I think it has great potential so let us know if it works for you!

It works! I got 6 lucids from it 2 nights ago(woke up, told myself I would do an RC in 30 seconds, did one, and confirmed I was dreaming! Woke up awhile later, and did it again, etc.) It's amazing. You don't feel or notice any lapse in conscienseness. You don't feel any different untill you do the RC [then you are excited]. As far as waking up right away, when the RC confirms you are dreaming, just get up slowly. The first time it worked, I just got up slowly, and having had 18+ lucids now, the dream remain super stable even though I was super excited. The second time it worked, I jumped up super fast and everything went black and I woke up. Just do a few RCs, and get up slowly, plus do any other stabalizing methods you know. For me, it was already super stable, and my vision was awesome, better than HD. And for how long they last, two of the 6 times it has worked in one night so far were over 10 minutes. I could of easily made it last longer though. So, the method works. Really an awesome method...

Iīve had great success with FILD aswell.

I use my alarm clock to play a 3 sec long sound enough to just lightly wake me up. I donīt move at all, I just start moving my fingers, and sort of keep my mind busy with something so that I donīt think about my physical body. After a couple of sec I do the RC, then slowly slowly open my dream eyes.

The time at witch you wake up is critical in this techique. I only manage it after 8 h of sleep. Anytime sooner then that, Iīt wont work, at least for me.

Keep in mind that the finger motion should be very small, barely visable.

I think maybe if you just let yourself drift for a few seconds then try again.

Let yourself fall asleep, but not too much, even though it feels like you're still wide awake. I always fall asleep and lose control too quickly because I think I'm too awake.

Could one do this by rubbing their fingers together? Could it just be any action or does it need to be specific? Rubbing one's fingers together seems to require less attention for me and so should work better, right?

You don't want to be moving so much that you will be kept awake.

I'd say, whatever works for you.
