      Weird set of circumstances

Hey, guys. Last night I had my first successful WILD, though by different means than the ones I've read so far... at least, I think they're different.

I drank several glasses of water before going to bed at 11:30 PM last night, in hopes of having a good 3-4 hours of rest before attempting to WILD. I was very tired when I went to bed, and thought I was gonna fall asleep right away.

Oddly enough, though, for about an hour and a half all I did was move about in my bed, unable to sleep, because of this uncomfortable subtle tension I felt whenever I drowsed off. Maybe it could've been a prelude to SP, but I think it was something else... so that was almost two hours of sweating nervously and trying to just fall asleep, until all of a sudden I jumped out of my bed, looked around and realized I was dreaming (finally). I tried to turn on the lights but they wouldn't work (surprise), so I quickly went to take my cellphone, opened the window and looked at the supposed "Nokia" logo under the pale moonlight. It didn't say "Nokia"... heh.

I walked around a bit in my dream and then something weird happened. I could feel myself wake up in my bed, in the same room, although it turned out to be part of the dream, as I woke up for real in a few seconds. Teleportation, anyone?

After that dream, I had no trouble falling asleep at all, and had a good night's sleep with a handful of non-lucid dreams. Earlier today I attempted to take an afternoon nap to see if I can WILD again, only to experience that darn uneasiness in my body while drowsing off, unable to fall asleep... for an hour and a half again. -_-

Anyone have any good ideas on what this all could mean?

Maybe you're staying too aware while you're trying to fall asleep. It can be a bit tricky to keep your awareness there, but let your mind run free. You'll find something that works for you the more you try. I guarantee it!

Perhaps you're right, but I wasn't trying to be aware at all, I just wanted some sleep. The thing I experience when I'm too wary is usually a type of sudden jolt throughout my whole body, knocking me awake.

      This was much more subtle.
