Talking i finally got SP! (atlesast a tiny bit)

I've been experimenting with sleep paralysis.

just now (a few minutes ago), i was conducting an experiment, where i lied down and listened to special beeps designed to wake you up (thanks to the guys here). you are supposed to stay completely still (not even any eye movement), and let the SP roll over you like a lead blanket (that's what it feels like).

so i did that, and SP DID come, although it was only from my feet to the middle of my lower leg. but before this, i have never EVER felt SP before in any way.

this is a breakthrough to me, as it shows that i CAN get to SP. ;D

Sigh. Don't aim for sleep paralysis, aim for the WILD.

Well, I don't know how to advise you, other than to say don't focus on SP, just let it come naturally. It's a side-effect of WILD, you don't need it, and it's not the main goal. You might have a successful WILD without experiencing SP.

Hmm... I think you misunderstood me.
What you (and many others) are saying, is like... you want to find a great ice cream flavour, and today you got a brainfreeze, so you've found a good ice cream flavour.

You know what I mean? The SP is just a symptom, not what you should aim for.
However, you are probably closer to a lucid dream. Just don't dwell too much on the SP side of it.
I think Clyde said something like this once. I can't find the post though.

Agreed. Just aim for a lucid success. There isn't a point to seek the effects. Yes, you may be excited and all, and yes it is a great step forward. However you should strive for farther leaps such as lucidity itself.

Although you will scream when you hear this:

the technique was designed primarily for OBEs

maybe this thread wasn't a good idea...

Don't say you pay for the beeps. I've been in that side and I joined it, but I did not purchase all the beeps... they are expensive. Specially the OBE ones...

Good job on your sleep paralysis... but you will need full SP and then (and most important part) your hallucinations to enter the dream and accomplish your WILD.

      I'm working on that
how do i get more relaxed without stretching (pretty unlikely given the state of our house)?

also, i use headphones to hear the beeps. it might be better to get sleeping headphones or speakers, i think.

Unfortunately I can't help you there. I can relax without stretching. However, you might do some stretching exercises on your bed, you can google for that and for sure you find some. Focusing you are relax and your muscles stretched might help as well.

I have downloaded some of those beeps but I did not dare to use them. I do not remember which one, but it was a horrible sound (hear it awake, just to see how it sounds) I'm not very happy with the beep thing, but I will try them eventually and let you know.

I feel like I get close to SP. I sometimes get dizzy or feel like I'm not in control of my breathing. I stay completely still and then the feeling disappears. I've never got past this stage or got HI or any hallucinations for that matter. I can lie there perfectly still for hours and just get up at any point I desire.. not exactly paralyzed, but my limbs feel tingly and slow. I've given up on WBTB because of how frustrating it is.

      I just remember.

Why don't try to focus on a static image. Like a black dot for example. Breath slowly, relax and focus on a simple dark spot. That helps a lot. While focusing on the spot, announce yourself you want to be lucid, you will be lucid, etc (so MILD + WILD)
