Day dreams turn into dreams, during WILD attempt

I was attempting a WILD before I went to sleep, and eventually I started day dreaming. These day dreams started to become uncontrollable and random(like a random dream). As soon as something weird happened that I did not "create" I realized I was dreaming, but I guess the excitement "awoke" me, I still had my eyes close and not moving. The dream also did not fully materialize yet

This is pretty much the goal you're going for. The idea is to hold onto that awareness as the dream materializes.

Though, your lack of description of other WILD signs (Sleep Paralysis, Hynogogic Imagery, etc.) makes me wonder if you just had an intense day dream whilst falling asleep (I do this all the time), or if you near successfully completed a WILD.

What did you feel as you were WILDing?

This happens to me as well! ill be daydreaming and all of a sudden random things will be happening in my day dream that i didnt create but im not yet asleep( i can feel my bed sheets and sense im lying on my bed still), at least i dont think so. :/ i always end up getting random dreams and falling asleep. id like to know how you tell that your in an actual dream? do you know because you go through SP? what if you dont feel SP?

Only those who attempt the absurd will achieve the impossible.
I think it's in my basement... let me go upstairs and check.

Take it from me, don't try too much to WILD before going to sleep. It's the worst-time to try it. I've experienced Hypnogic Imagery but wasn't even close to a dream.

I do know what your talking about and it happens to me a lot. Just try to sleep and don't focus on that. In my time practicing Lucid Dreaming those never turned into dreams ( If I was going straight from Awake right into sleep)
