before you try lucid dreaming it's a good idea to build up your dream recall to at least 1 per night. there are many methods to get yourself to remember dreams, what i've found that works for me is just telling myself that i will remember my dreams tonight over and over until that's all i think about while i fall asleep. it's really helpful to keep a dream journal too. you should also be doin RCs (reality checks) during the day. one way that helps me is getting a watch to go off every hour or every 30 minutes and then do an RC to make sure i'm not dreaming even if i think i'm awake. there are a lot of different kinds of RCs you can do. you can look at the time on your watch, then look away and then look back and see if it still says the same time. umm...you can also look at the sky - i've heard dream skies look really different. if you want to go the route of supplements and food to help you, i've heard that drinking mint tea b/4 bed helps and that you can have really awesome dreams if you eat a big hunk of cheese (cheese doesn't really help w/ lucidity). if you have any more specific questions i'd be glad to help you find an answer. good luck! |
