was I close to the WILD?

      Hellow peeps

I havent been on here in a long while but I always had lucid dreaming on the back of my mind. I been busy working and with college but I wanna get back into lucid dreaming. so heres the story:

I have tried WILD for awhile and with no sucess so far. My biggest problem is staying still for that long. Saliva becomes a problem etc. But when I was at a friends house, I decided to try once more. I planned sometime during the night but fell asleep. I woke up after like 5hrs of sleep and could barely open my eyes. I decided to try to WILD. Now heres the thing that I think most people worry about and I have has well:

Its better to do WILDS naturally. What I mean by that is if you plan it then you worry about so many things when we keep forgetting the most important part of LD'S- Dreaming. I was so tired I didnt think about keeping still or about swallowing spit etc. I closed my eyes, kept barely awake then I started seeing a little bit of HI for the first time which was cool by the way

But for some reason I had a feeling I was in a dream or FA because I felt really light. I opened my eyes and everything was a bit blurry. I looked at my fingers and they were stretching. They were stretching upward for some odd reason and I was so excited that I tried moving, I got to the end of the couch but woke up.

I know this isnt a full WILD but I think it was what you guys think?

Wow, you were really close. I know what you mean about worrying about too many things when you try to WILD. That kills it fast, for me. I always have the best luck when I am relaxed, and just let myself fall asleep while paying attention.

What happened next? Were you unable to fall back to sleep? If you get that close again, just keep trying. Keep doing what you were doing, and see if you can slip back into the dream.

Sounds to me like you did WILD, but quickly woke up. I sometimes get that light feeling at SP - then I float out of or roll out of the bed and start my LD adventure. First thing I do is pinched nose RC, then look at my hands. Sounds like you were doing the same looking at your hands and trying to move off the couch. Stretching fingers is a pretty good indication you were dreaming, so if you were conscious - you were successful at WILD.
