      Indigo People

Ok, i stumbled across this last night. I'm still not really sure on the whole subject, so I wanted to hear if anyone else has heard of it. Anyways, Indigo people are supposed to be most people born in the 80's and 90's, however it seems that not all are aware of it.

Now, I've only just begun a little research, but ever since I was little I felt very different, and I started reading the traits that Indigos have and I fit almost all of them, so I want to know a little more on the subject.

As far as I know, the name comes from the fact that all indigos have an indigo aura. Now i can't really see auras nor do I know much about them.. i always thought that it was just retinal burning with all those colors. In any case a response on this subject would be nice. I'll post anything here if I read something interesting.

I figured, it wasn't deeply documented enough. But it was still pretty strange how all the traits matched up to the sort of person i am. Anyways, thanks for the response.

Those traits are general and, above all, positive. You want those to be your traits. So do I.

Harry Potter is an Indigo child, isn't he? J.K. Rowling plays right into people's desires. Look at how people eat that stuff up.

Everyone wants to feel different. Everyone wants to feel special.

And they should be able to without this crap.

If most people born over the course of 20 years(!) are indigo, and you felt different than most people, then wouldn't you probably NOT be "indigo"?

Of course, you might be an Indigo Girl. We'd have to hear you sing to know for sure...

I don't want to hear about the brain from someone that doesn't have one.
Nor do I want to hear about evolution from someone that hasn't evolved.

Oh, wow, I'm having flashbacks of reading this stuff and being incredibly sickened. You know, I'm an incredible supporter of youth rights. I think agism against young people is going to be the last prejudice. And all this Indigo stuff made me realize how some of us truly see our children like they're aliens.

      http://www.skepticreport.com/mystics/twyman.htm

The authors say that \"the Indigo Child is a boy or girl who displays a new and unusual set of psychological attributes, revealing a pattern of behavior generally undocumented before.\" For example, they act like royalty, have difficulty with absolute authority unless given choices or explanations, are easily frustrated, e.g. when waiting in line, are not shy, have difficulty with guilt-based discipline, are non-conformist, may seem antisocial and prefer to be with their own kind, and may have social difficulties in school. I, for one, see nothing new, unusual, or unheard-of here.[/b]
      Damn straight.

      hehe

I remember reading up on this. And while it was mildly interesting and I'd love it to be true, it didn't bring anything to the party to lead me to believe it was true.

you can go to this site (www.univ-lightworkers.net) and you'll find alot of good information on this topic. supposedly, i'm suposed to be an indigo child and a star child. interesting....i personally won't say anything is "not real" or "real", b/c i wasn't hte one who created this universe, therefore i don't have even a scratch of a clue whether or not something can happen. i keep it open for possibility.

as for teh aura, eh....usually it's how the person acts.

Yes you can. It's called "observation." And when you do it carefully, what you observe happening happens, no?

yeah, I found it REALLY strange that over 90% of people supposidly have these traits, (and many of the traits described are just normal) I highly doubt that this shit is out of the ordinary. So the whole theory is junk, thats ok.. i'll keep looking to find more about life in general.

I bring stuff up like this however for myth-busting, and it seems this thread did a pretty nice job.

I suppose I'll continue to wander around again.

Starseeds , indigo children , star children , wanderers... many names for the same thing.

Its a very real 'phenomena' , those are souls that have incarnated here in this time as an organized effort to help humanity and earth in these difficult times.. some have had some past life experience on earth but mostly have had them on other more advanced planets and dimensions.

There is a rather good quiz for those that are not qute sure if they are one.. later in life though most get to the point when there is no doubt whatsoever they are one of them .. i know i am one of them.

      http://home.earthlink.net/~pleiadesx/starquiz.htm

As for those who don't see this.. its normal , thats why starseeds are here in the first place to help humans open their mind to greater possibilities than popcorn and soda.

There was even a feed on CNN about this few days ago

      http://edition.cnn.com/video/player/player...o.children.affl

I was quite pleased it has spread so much to reach the mainstream TV.

Well, I'm an Indigo person and I'm here to change the world by telling you this is a load of bull.

I'm serious. It's precisely that kind of thinking that will change the world.

Ex Nine's boat sank long ago, he wants to sink others' boats for company. Come on, I at least enjoy toying with these concepts, even if they truly are BS. I'd rather look at these new ideas than just reject them because they don't fit in with my belief system. Even if they're ridiculous, they're still somewhat interesting.

I think "indigo children" is a normal common psychological pattern, nothing special about them, its just the way our mind and society evolves, same as the new EMO generation.

90% of all Indigo stuff is BS, but the psychological pattern is absolutely real since every question to determine if you are an indigo describes my personality and im extremely exceptic and self proclaimed atheist.

That brings up an interesting topic: How do you explain the rise of Emo kids and what do you think is a good psychological profile of them?

Personally, I must say they disgust me. They have no sexual restraint(no matter the gender of their object), they drink and do drugs immoderately, and they have no respect for property or productiveness. The last part is the worst, in my view, they have a pathetic attitude about life that frankly pisses me off. I'm ok with some of them, usually the ones I like only loosely fit the term 'emo', but in general they disgust me.

wooooohooooo their coming from me I can sense it . I wouldn't want to be rude but this all sounds like BS, if you read a little about sociology you would see. Think of it as beleiving on something while the important things that go down are on another plain far away from you(making you an ignorant on the matters of your surroundings), like people being more interested in celebrities than in politics .

All indigo children in this room, please raise my hand

Nah, seriously, I'm open to the idea, but I don't see any evidence. Not solid evidence... just any evidence other than 'cos I say so'

Well ive read a lot about indigo children and yes most of it is bullshit, ofcourse the paranormal stuff, hypersensitive kids that will change the world bla bla bla.. BS.

However ive also read about a new psychological profile, a new tenth personality profile (according to some of the new schools of psychology there are basically 9 types of personalities with 2 wings or tendencies).

My theory is that its directly related to EMO kids, but first of all i have to say that the majority of the EMO kids arent indigo children, most of them are only imitating a new trend, they dont share the feelings and beliefs of true EMO kid.

Yeah the EMO kids have a depressing view of life, and thats because the psychological profile says thats its very common for an indigo child to experience early depression and existencial void, they are also high iq individuals not devolped in the social aspect, that hate structurated societies, that pretty much explains all the EMO kid attitudes, i mean the real emos, not the mimics.

i knew about EMOs like probably a year ago, i live in mexico where the EMO trend is non-existant, nobody used to dress or know what in the hell emo ment, but somehow i ended up even in an emo isolated enviroment looking like one.

I also read about group research and according to their study a indigo children has a wider genetic difference from the rest of the people than people from differences races, sounds interesting

Ummm, when they're claiming 90%+ of people born over the period of two generations are "indigo" - exactly whom are they here to help?

I don't want to hear about the brain from someone that doesn't have one.
Nor do I want to hear about evolution from someone that hasn't evolved.
