Some people achieve very good results with napping! This is because normally, you fall directly into REM sleep (the stage where we dream) during a nap. This has yet to work for me personally, but sounds like it works for you! |

Greetings, all! I have a question: a year ago, I attempted lucid dreaming but failed miserably in my endeavors and didn't have the patience to pursue it. However, I have found that a couple of times when I have had afternoon naps, I have accidentally achieved lucidity. Why is that and how can I duplicate the results? In short, what did I do right? |

Thanks, guys, for the information! Is there any way that I can duplicate the results with certainty? It happens with some naps and not with others and I can't figure out why that is... |
|
Well usually LD'ing from naps can happen when you are thinking a lot, and very tired, but it is daylight. |
|
naps = sleep deprivation = instant REM = lucid dreaming! |
|
Who would have thought that going to college and losing sleep could be so wonderful? |
|
Yeah I'm actually about to try an WILD nap right now. We'll see what happens! |
|
The logical part of your mind has been on all day so it's not going off as much for a nap, therefore you recognize dream signs easier. |
|
I can't nap unless SUPER tired. |
|
I can WILD within about 20 minutes of laying down for the most part. I seem to completely skip SP though, I've never had it. I can have my eyes open and blink normally while in the vibrating stage of the WILD and once I even sneezed without ruining the WILD. |
|
Damn, I envy you. |

GOOD WILD's: 4 (Got it down Bitches!)
GOOD DILD's: 3
Short LD's: At Least 40

Yess! Napping in the afternoon I almost always remember my dreams. Seems like a good time for LD's |
|
I can never nap. |
|
What if I told you that I am dreaming right now?
That your whole life is a lie?
That the laws of physics as you know them are incorrect?
Furthermore, what would you do if I told you I'm going to wake up as soon as you finish reading my signature?
Yeah i napping tends to have great results, one of my clearest lucids was when napped. Plus it felt good too |

Might be cause one seldom are awoken from a nap, rather one wake up when rested. Thus one mind the dream, and do not forget about it.. |

I know who I am, as I become...
I barely take naps unless I am sick. But sometimes I am just sooo tired that I nap( I nap with my eyes open) |

When I was studying psychology in college, I learned that not all dreaming occurs in REM sleep. This explains why when you're on the verge of sleep, like falling asleep watching a movie for example, you can wake up only seconds after falling asleep and remember a fairly elaborate dream! |

I napped yesterday, but I have no idea what my dream was about. I only remember that my heart was beating a bit faster than usual, but not a nightmare. |

I would say I have at least an 80% success rate using this method. |
