Thread: rental bicycle stolen - interpretation ?

Hi, new here and first time posting...

Had a recent dream, hoping I can get people's inputs on what it means...

description of dream

My wife and I are in a foreign country (Hong Kong) and we decide to rent some bicycles to cycle around. In the dream, I can remember my wife showing her id to the lady renting out bicycles, and she takes my wife's details down and gives us two bicycles.

Next thing I can remember is that early on in our cycling, we have stopped and put our bicycles on the side and viewing the scene, when I notice someone trying to take my wife's bicycle. I manage to prevent this person from taking the bicycle.

We next continue on our journey, and we come across a set of stairs in our path - we would have to carry our bicycles up the stairs. So I help my wife carry her bicycle up the stairs, but when I return for my bicycle, it is missing. I then start looking around and notice a number of bicycles around and various people seem to be trying to steal them.

I continue looking around for my bicycle, but cannot find it - I can see quite a number of bicycles - some quite different, some similar, but none of them are mine - and I can see that people have stolen parts (wheels, etc) off some of these bicycles.

Last thing I remember from the dream, is that I'm thinking - will the bicycle rent lady charge us for the bicycle ? Why are there some many bicycles here being stolen ?

Not sure what to make of it. Have read that dreaming getting your bicycle stolen means something, but what of a rental bicycle ? and of the staircase and all the other bicycles being stolen in front of me ?
