Thread: Every night I dream of weed. I have never smoked...what does this mean?

Every dream that I can recall over the last couple of months has involved weed in some form. I have never smoked pot, but am not opposed to it, and don't really have any strong feelings towards it either way. If I were presented with the opportunity, I'd probably try it out of curiosity. I don't know anyone who smokes regularly; my boyfriend occasionally does with friends (we're talking once a year or so). If it's relevant, I am a 23 year old female grad student.

I will describe a few dreams that I remember most clearly:

1. I am in a high school changing room, with long benches and lockers. There are a few other people there about my age, male and female, including my boyfriend, and they are smoking pot. They offer me some, and I take it and feel excited to try it. Don't remember anything else.

2. I am at a house party on the couch with a guy next to me who is smoking, and he suggests I try it, so I do. It is quite relaxing, I don't experience any major sensation. After a couple of minutes, I begin to wonder where my boyfriend is, and the guy suggests I go upstairs and look over the indoor balcony to get a better view. I do so, but cannot spot him in the crowd.

3. I am sitting in the beer garden of the bar that I work in, and my boss is standing outside too, smoking a joint. I am sitting nearby and breathe in some of the smoke. He looks down at me and its a weird fish-eye lens view and smiles, while taking another drag.

4. For some reason there is this vending machine in the garage of my old house that dispenses meatballs that are laced with weed. Myself and my boyfriend get some of them, then we get in the car with some other people and my mum driving. We have all had some meatballs, and my boyfriend starts to laugh hysterically, and everyone else starts acting really high. I don't feel a very strong effect, and feel very aware of how strange they're acting.


Could there be more to these dreams than me simply having some strange, sudden sub-conscious desire to smoke?
