      Dreams of constantly being chased.

Throughout my life I've had dreams where I'm being chased by beings that want to kill or capture me , but they never catch me before I wake up. The dream occurs in several different scenarios. Every time I have a dream like this I often wake up with an uncomfortable feeling... It's sort of like your running for your life but not being entirely scared.

      Dear Hyphy,

If dreams are repeating themselves it can surely mean, that there is something bothering you. Until dreams with the same content stop the same issue is stil there and have not been solved out.
However, it would be easier to interpret, if you would tell, what specifically chases you..maybe there is something you should face with in oreder to come over this dream. It sounds a kind of anxiety dream...are you often anxious about things in your life, relationships you have, school, job issues. Do you often try to be perfect and push yourself to the limits of exhaustion? Do some aspects of your personality chase You?
What kind of things, people, beasts, situation chase you in a dream?

      Good luck and sweet dreams

Thank you Plato for helping me.

I believe that these dreams could be related to something that's been with me my entire life. Although I don't have an answer for that.

As for the creatures that chase me I never get a really good glimpse of what they look like because I don't look back while I'm running, but in every dream they are humans with the exception of one dream, in which they were zombies. Sometimes they'll have a reason to chase after me, sometimes they don't.

The zombie dream I had when I was a young child. It was when zombies populated the earth and I had to keep running to look for new hiding places. I went to a building where a nurse was hiding children in a giant safe, so I went in and she locked me in there.

My most recent one is when I moved to a town. They had strange rules to uphold their image of a perfect place to live in. I disobeyed and they tried to kill me for ruining the perfection. But the only thing different about this dream is that I had someone with me. Which stood out because most of the time I'm alone when I'm trying to escape.

      Hi, hyphy

Don't worry, dreams about being chased are pretty often and they do repeat often as well. It seems the dream is rooted in your childhood, you are saying yourself, that you feel it is something that has been with you for entire life.
These childhood dreams are usually rooted pretty deep, sometimes in childhood experiences, which get build into the psyche and its structure for a long time. Especially dreams aboutchasing and falling are very often and nothing to be worried about-child is weak and his/her understanding of teh world around him/her is not developed enough yet, to clarify what is what...so he/she makes his/her own explainations..that is perfectly normal.
This kind of dreams become more vivid and emotional later in life in circumstances, when a person is under pressure and stress and can be kindof a warning signal form subconscious abour "being chased again". There is a simple question to work that out: what kind of a problem is "chasing me" at this time in life...there are different trigers for this kind of dream from the outside world, only the feeling and emotion of the dream stay the same(being chased)
However, you can also find that aspect of yourselfe, which in your child dream is represented by a character of a nurse...try to "consult" your "inner nurse" find finding yourself under pressure of whatever kind. You have this capability of your own nurse, who can protect you (but try not to close the doors of the safe for too long or too much)- take your time in such moments and allow yourself to cool of from running and have a mental rest of a kind-in this fast times we need that and the good part is, we have this inner nurse to comfort us, our fears and feelings.

      Good luck,
      Plato
