      Hi,

I've been keeping a dream journal for some time now. Yesterday I was looking back through the entries and realised I had totally forgotten a lot of them, even the ones that happened just a day or two ago!!! Anyone else noticed this? If I have a particularly vivid or disturbing dream then I might remember it and tell a few people about it. But it seems that even the act of writing my dreams down isn't enough to make me remember the rest of them. They came as quite a surprise when I reread them, LOL.

Maybe I'm just not fully awake while I'm writing them down, even though it feels like I am?

Weird... I find that I'm able to remember almost all of my dreams... even from almost a year ago now...

I notice this too with normal dreams, but not lucid ones.

It's not because of being half asleep, I write them down on a pad first, and don't record them on the net until I'm fully awake.

Well, I do write quite lengthy descriptions. But they still go from my mind. For instance, I had a pretty vivid dream last night but couldn't for the life of me tell you about it now....I wrote it down though on waking and I bet if I read it now it'd come as a bit of a surprise!!!

Maybe it's just my brain that's a bit odd. Grin! :yumdumdoodledum:

I just went through my whole DJ yesterday, and was surprised about a couple fairly recent lucids that were completely forgotten.

Some "stick", others just seem to go away.

I remember loads of old dreams. My memory is so specific that I even remember what I dreamt about on February 16th 2006 only that date though.
