1st timer need help asap !

Hello everyone, this is my 1st time seeking advice about my dream world. It's so confusing to say the least. Just some history , I'm 47. Vivid dream most of my life . As a child I also suffered from extreme paralyses dreams, frozen and couldn't breath or move till I passed out . That went away around 9 years old. Anyhow, what I deal with the say past 5 years is extreme dream land vivid stuff. Ive had dreams where I know I'm dreaming and stayed in them and or woke up to forced myself to go back in them. I've never practiced any type of methods. My real issue is, in my awake world I'm average intelligence and intellect and very below average in creativity. In my dream world my creativity is something I'd say Steve Spielberg would pay good money to record and my conversations with characters in my dreams world are well beyond my intellect in my awake world. How can this be ? How come I'm Way smarter in a dream? Most of my dreams are more futuristic fantasy kinda dreams. Also when some of the character are people I know in the real world they don't look like that same person at all . The landscape and material items in my dream world are also things Ive NEVER seen in the real world either in movies which I rarely watch or anything else. I'm thinking I could be living on many different timelines and my dream world is picking up on some of those. Opinions ?

That to me sounds like you have some sort of sleep disorders. While sleep paralysis is a very common, being unable to breathe and passing out is not usually part of the experience. I would suggest getting checked up just to be safe for over all health even if it was a long time ago.

I can't help but feel amused at this. I can't begin to imagine why you would see this as an issue. Regardless, our conscious mind and logical mind are often restrictive. It's very natural for you to be more expressive while dreaming. You are really as "smart" as you appear to be in your dreams. I wouldn't attribute the things you mentioned to lower or higher intellect though. Your creativity can he heightened while in theta, delta, and gamma brainwave states than your awake state which usually beta brainwave.

This is where there is a bit of controversy. Some people believe totally that dreams are just impulses our brain creates while there are others who believe brain is rather an interface that lets us experience different realities both our own as well as collective realities much as it helps us experience our waking realities. It's entirely possible for you to see and hear things you have never experienced in waking reality. Some of the most life changing inventions were inspired by dreams after all.

With all that said, I'm still scanning over your post to spot any issues you may be struggling with... from my prescriptive you are in a perfect place to cultivate lucid dreaming and explore different realities out there willfully.

      Hello!

Your dreams are basically your inner understanding. So nobody else than you, can have a more vivid understanding of what it exactly feels being you in your way except yourself. Since dreams are instant reality and waking life is a process. We are then obviously able to create and show our inner reality in different ways of expressing it as we learn new skills. So dreams are like a playground of what we potentially might consider making reality of with the accumulated skills necessary for doing so. Inorder to show others our dreams in a way so they also can be able to understand part of what we feel, in this waking reality. Just like a really good movie make it possible for most people to feel something even if they didn't expected the movie to move them emotionally.
      You are not your thoughts...

Have you tried writing or drawing any of your dream creativity?
Maybe you really are as smart and creative as your dream self? But perhaps there's some blocks/ patterns/ beliefs getting in the way? Like the old working class curse of not wanting to shine...

I'm an art director - and still can walk around a gallery of my own work in a dream and be amazed at my creativity...
What does that mean? I dunno... except that one's subconscious can paint a picture in an instant which might have taken months in real life - so perhaps it just means I / you are too busy to be massively creative!!!!
