      Hi Everybody

Hello there, my Name is Slitz, or otherwise known as Shawn.

I'm your averege 19 year old who enjoys hanging out with his friends, playing some video games, and som partying.

I've always been an 'Odd' person and if I explained alot of what goes on in my head I have no doubt in my mind I'd be slapped with a label of 'Crazy' and shipped off to the funny farm

Dreams, have been a large part of my life for the past year or so. Before I started dreaming regularly(That I can remember - My Childhood and alot of teenage years are blocked out) I would rarely sleep. I'd stay up in cycles of 12 hours. Mainly because nothing good was going to come of sleeping, so why sleep, right?

The past few months I had not been dreaming. I have been a blank slate and any dreams I may have had were not lucid nor concious in the slightest.

Until last night that is. Last night I dreamed of a girl, Which, I can only imagine is my mind desiring to be in a relationship. I actually didn't want to wake from this dreams, but i did.

2 years ago, I went through a big break-up and the death of my unborn child. I orginally started dreaming constantly thinking of my ex-fiancee and being in my dreams with her. I was actually loosing myself to the reality I'd created. I was on massive amounts of sleeping pills and illicit drugs as I didn't or couldn't face reality.

Now, I just need a place to figure out more about my dreams and assure myself I'm not crazy.

      Hi xD

Ps: Is it true if you lay in the 'log' sleeping position and don't move at all you can trick your brain into thinking your asleep and can cause a form of 'high' where your perilized but can also cause lucid dreaming? Read it somewhere.

I tried to use the above technic and did start to have auditory hallicinations I heard "hey!" which sounded like an ex of mine. Leads me to believe this does work. I was also feeling slightly peralized.

Welcome to DV! I'm still new here, but I would recommend getting off those drugs and getting healthy so you can Lucid Dream to your full extent!

There are a ton of resources here, many of which explain Sleep Paralysis and WILD, which will get you into a Lucid Dream.

      Welcome to dreamviews slitz

The technique your describing Sounds like a WILD ... Though you don't have to sleep in any particular position, they say that on your back helps to induce sleep paralysis though.

It also sounds like you weren't very far off from entering a dream there, so carry on what your doing and keep at it!

As far as drugs are concerned, many members will tell you many different things, personally I'm a regular cannabis smoker and don't really find it makes LD'ing any harder, although it will make me lack the motivation to write my dreams down. I still manage though

Like sharkanana says, this entire website is filled with all the info you need.
I hope to hear about your first lucid soon,
      Take it easy!

Simply because you can breathe, doesn't mean your alive, or that you really live....

      Thanks for the friendly welcomes

I'm off everything but Canabis at the moment. I went through addiction but I'm much better now. Thanks for caring
