      Hola! Hello everyone.. Help?

      Hi all,

      I had 2 questions:

First, i'm not a heavy dreamer. I hardly ever remember if i do dream, however sometimes i wake up feeling the need to remember somthing but i cant.

How can i help myself dream more and remember in the morning? I feel like im missing something.

Second, I remember a while back a had a more or less highly active and mature dream about someone i didnt know i had hidden feelings for. When i awoke i felt like i had been crying or wanted to continue and i was SOO HAPPY! in an unbelievable good mood and it lasted almost half a day. (then reality got a hold of me :/)..

What if anything does that mean? Is that just me or is that normal, i could have sworn i had invented my own personal "high"

      Any ideas?

      Thank you very much!

Hi Carreon, I'm no veteran of all of this but I can make a few recommendation that have helped me so far. I find it is much easier to recall my dreams in the morning if I get a full night's rest. I used to be a night owl and get about 4-6 hours each night and had a real hard time remembering my dreams.

Since actively trying to recall my dreams I have been trying to go to bed on a schedule so that I can ensure a full night's sleep. I have had much more success now that I'm getting about 8 hours of sleep each night.

There is an Introduction page somewhere here on DV that I read that also gives some recommendation for sharpening your Dream recollection skills that I havn't had a chance to try yet.

      Good luck friend!

      Hello and

      You may find this helpful...

      How to remember your dreams:

Alcohol suppresses REM sleep, which is when dreams are formed. As little as one glass could stop recall in its tracks. Avoid drinking if you're trying to remember your dreams.

Upon waking up in the morning, relax and try not to move around too much. Allowing your body to relax helps keep your brain in "sleep mode" for a few minutes, which helps you remember your dreams better.

Avoid watching television or being on the computer at least an hour before bed. The bright lights can make it harder to fall asleep, mess up your internal sleeping pattern, as well as harm your ability to recall dreams.

Taking vitamin B6 supplements has shown to improve recall.

Drinking a glass of apple juice two or three hours before bed can help, while foods such as tuna, bananas, chicken, and turkey are good sources of vitamin B6 which you can try if you don't want to take the vitamin in pill form. Chocolate has also been reported to work, although not as effectively in some cases. Find what works for you and stick with it!

Tell yourself that you will remember your dreams. Repeating "I will remember my dreams" or something similar to yourself will help prepare your mind to recall what you dreamed about that night, and serve as a type of placebo effect. The mind is powerful, and in the case of lucid dreaming, there isn't any harm in bringing it to its full potential.

Have confidence that you will remember your dreams! Belief is an important aspect of lucid dreaming, for recall as well as controlling your dreams (but we'll get to that later).

      Welcome to DreamViews, carreon!

How can i help myself dream more and remember in the morning?
Just keeping a DJ, even when you dont remember your dream the next day, helps a lot. The mere intention of recalling your dreams will help force your subconscious to realize that recalling your dreams is important to you. So the more you try to recall them, the better you will remember them in the future. Also, you can use autosuggestion to help you remember them. You can do some mantras before bed like "i remember my dreams" or "my dreams are very vivid".

What if anything does that mean? Is that just me or is that normal, i could have sworn i had invented my own personal "high"
It is completely normal to get carried away in terms of emotion in dreams. When we dream, the lart of the brain that controls emotion is more uninhibited, that's why we tend to feel really extreme emotions in dreams than we would in real life. Oftentimes, they can be so overwhelming that they could last for even hours after you wake up. It is up to you to pursue the meaning behind what caused you to dream those, and only you can really find the interpretation of your dreams

Good luck, and see you around!

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.
