Was it a LD? Its started since Ive been on Ritalin!

Hello, Im a 16 yr old Australian who recently started on Ritalin for inattentive ADD. Ive been finding that when I try to take a nap in the afternoon, I would get a tingling sensation and am aware of my body becoming relaxed. After a while I begin to see strange colours. They are generally blues and greens flicking or swirling into the center. Usually when this happens I get worried and wake up. Today I stumbled upon some info about lucid dreaming, and it appears that what I was doing resumbles the WILD method, but I am really unsure. Could someone please give me their opinions on this? For instance, wether or not it sounds like lucid dreaming.

      Thanks!

Congratulations, you have experienced hypagogonic imagery. You may be a natural WILD'er!

Hypogogonic (sp?) imagery is the images you see when you are in the state of hypogogonia (the state where you are just about to fall asleep). It usually resembles swirls and colors.

If you can get those again, try focusing on them and concentrating on attempting to Lucid Dream. There are alot more links about WILD in the "Kaniaz useful links" topic in the Tutorial section [yes, I know it's a plug, but it does have alot of links!]

Congratulations and welcome to the forums.

Yeah I just like to say Kaniaz is totally right here. I agree more than likely you are a natural WILD'er very few people out there fall into that category.

Thanks! Il go read up on what you said. Btw Im not sure if I can be called a natural WILD'er because its only been happening since Ive started taking ritalin. I dont think thats anything to worry about tho (ritalin is sometimes used to treat some disorder where u have trouble staying awake).

      Welcome!!!!!

It is cool that you have gotten that far and hopefully now that you know what is going on you will take advantage of it and become lucid through WILD...
