[Diamondec]

A Short Story He leaned on the side of the building across from the ice cream shop on "Shopping Way". He looked at the people eating ice cream and thought, "I wonder if any dreamers are here today. Well, if there are any I hope they have a high level because I'm tired of all these low levels. Will I ever earn enough money to get a better apartment; probably not." He heard rumors about a mysterious woman who appears to be just a DC and is actually a dreamer. This dreamer, according to rumors, is able to create things that have actual substance. Not many dreamers can do that and that means this woman may just be a level worth catching. He smiled at the thought of a high level dreamer. "I know she was rumored to be seen in this area every now and again. Now, if only I can find her" he thought.

Man one: Control the dreamers they must not have too much control. Man two: Why can't they be allowed to have as much control as they want? Man one: Because if dreamers were all able to do whatever they wanted what do you think would happen? Man two: I don't know. Man one: Each dreamer would do whatever they wanted good or bad. Some may even visit the dream world of others and start destroying it just because they think it is fun. Dreamers would get angry and want revenge alliances would form wars would take place. The result would be chaos. Therefore, in order to prevent this dreamers must be controlled. Whenever a dreamer realizes they are dreaming they must be woken up as soon as possible and those who are able to become lucid on command must be monitored. We can't let them gain to much control because if we do it will ruin our peace.This is why we have created organizations dedicated to controlling the dreamers and to protecting them from those who would abuse a dreamer's ability to create for their own sinister purposes.

Every time she knew when she was dreaming and decided right away to see what this world was like. Only, she discovered that one place that she went to when she dreamed was not like her regular dream world, no it was more real than that and different. At least that's how it felt. She had the ability to sense things and could even read peoples emotions or personalities. It was also this ability that helped to realize that the other place she dreamed of had people in it that were more than DC's what they were she wasn't sure. All she knew was that she was wary of that place because it can be pleasant one minuet and horrible the next. Some of things she has seen and witnessed would be enough to drive some insane. Yet, she still longed to explore that place it seemed so familiar sometimes like a place she had seen once long ago. What exactly is this place, she would often think to herself. Sometimes she even came up with stories about the place she kept visiting. But, the weirdest part was that although some of what she imagined would be true a lot of it was vastly different from what she could have ever imagined.

You shouldn't be here they cried. It's not like I choose to be here she wanted to reply. However, she told someone that before and all they responded with was a look of worry. What does it mean? Does it mean anything? What was this place? Did she want to know the answers to these questions? Even so, she still could not help but explore whenever she ended up in that world. She even gave that place a name "The Spirit World". She was not sure if that world really was the home of the spirits but that is what it felt like. All she knew was that The Spirit World could be dangerous and scary when she dreamed of it because she often would not have full control even when lucid. It was like some force that was monitoring how much power she used. Sometimes when she felt that force she would run other times she would try to fight the force. However, whenever she did the force would make a distracting person, place, or thing appear. Overtime, she learned that she could let the force control her a bit and in return the force would let her use her abilities. She also learned that if she tried to use a different power the force would lose some of its effectiveness. Most importantly, she also learned that when visiting that place to never tell anyone that you're dreaming. Some would just look worried, but others would get angry and attack. However a few would try to capture and one tried to stick her with a needle. She never knew what was in that needle because she forced herself awake; but somehow she knew she did not want to find out. She also decided to hide her true identity and thus she created pseudo name for herself, "Diamond".

Diamond stood on the grassy hill. Her eyes followed the hill down to the road then to its curb. Her eyes continued looking forward and up from the curb to the large square grassy area which had a strip sidewalk separating a small part of the grassy area from the rest so that a small rectangle came before the rest of the square. This is where one of the secret castles lies.
