      Howetzer's art

      Hey guys! I am excited.
Assuming my showing goes well with the owner, Which she sounded optimistic, I am going to have a showing at a local coffee shop. ( High Peaks cafe) It is has room for about 15 prints. All watercolor for me.
My last exhibit, at Lake land Community college went well as I sold two pictures and got first place for one of my abstracts.
I have been out of the loop for a while. ..A bit nervous.

Also I have used Lucid dreaming as a theme for some of my abstracts that I would be hanging. One titled, "Hypnagogic imagery" And the other, "Intro to lucidity"
I of coarse, already have a DV card hanging there!

When I get then formatted I will post them!

      Thank you cocastar1

Since all of my work is fine arts rather than any graphic art I have to rely on my neighbor to scan them for me so I can post them

Do you have a digital camera? If not, you should invest in one. (Don't feel bad if you don't...I don't have one either. )

I just tried to scan one of my semi-final designs, but the scanner didn't pick up the lines. since it's just a semi-final its just the out line, I'm taking it into tone right now, I was making it into a clay tile but I missed the deadline because I was off with flu

*PLEASE ~ I can't get better without constructive criticism. So please feel at ease to critique my work. It can only help.....Thanks!

SHIT. For the record this first abstract is suppose to be turned. Most people don't think it matters. It does!

(I don't have my contacts in so I apologize if there are any errors here)

Wow, Howetzer! I wish I had the time and desire to cultivate any kind of drawing or painting abilities. Your work is wonderful! I was trying to turn my head, but I don't know which direction it's supposed to go in.

Anyway, kudos! Let me knowwhen you get more posted.

Thanks you two. You have inspired me even more.
I am excited to get those couple other abstracts up. I think they have better composition.

-Ame. Don't put your contacts in, they look better that way.

Joe, didn't you and I talk about art a bunch when you, seeker & I met? ..Those damn pictures of beer, ya gotta love em.

The cafe is in Chesterland. It is called High peaks cafe.
The artist on view has another two weeks. She said they usually display them for a couple months, depending on the Feedback.

They hold an open house for new work, I will let you know if they except my work.
It would be great if you could come!

Thanks cocoastar. provided you have a snowflake for your avatar, I thought I would post the one I made.
It was some site where you take scissors and cut pieces out of a piece of paper. No two are suppose to be alike. They even give you a number for it. I must have been board that day!

Thanks. The snowflake is my "winter" avatar, since I can't find one I really like. I made a snowflake on that site too, but it was probably last year and I never saved it. Nice though!

Yeah, I do love 'em - but the fact that I have that typical guy memory doesn't help either.

So Chesterland then - cool. Just let me know when you're hangin, I'll definitely check it out. I'm in the process of looking for places to display my stuff as well - once I finish the piece I'm currently working on. I should have enough for a show now.

One other place you might want to look into is Borders - that's right, the bookstore. I've had my stuff at one of those when I lived in Delaware and the one here in Severance Town last year. They do the same thing, keep it up for about a month or so. It hangs in their cafe. Doesn't sound as artsy as a gallery or anything - but the exposure is great, the place is packed on weekend afternoons!
