Some old drawings of mine
I dug up some old pencil drawings I did and figured I'd post them. I don't really draw anymore because I just don't have the time. Also, I can reproduce drawings freehand but I have a hard time coming up with my own ideas for drawings.
This first one has been in my scrapbook for years. I did it when I was 12 years old! Note: I photoshopped out my first name.
This one was a project in my senior year of high school. It's a drawing of Mel Gibson in the movie Hamlet.
The next four are Final Fantasy X characters. I drew them from the pictures in the guide book while I was laid up with my broken ankle (see Show and Tell thread for the xray).

Whoa! Those are really good. I have an art exam tommorrow, and I can't draw anything like that!
Still, the art course is hardly about art any more, you just write a load of hippie crap about you feelings and 'BOOM!'- A*!

Yeah, that would be great! You know, my two cats are named after Final Fantasy characters - Cloud and Titus! (well, it was supposed to be Tidus, but I accidentally misspelled it on his Christmas stocking and and I liked the "T" better than the "D" anyway, so that's how it stayedOriginally posted by Celoude

Great stuff, Burns! I had no idea you could draw.
That Tidus is my favorite. I'm thinking of doing an Advent Children Cloud sometime soon, but I got a few more projects I'm workin on, now.
And don't ever stop drawing! Just do what I do and take the time out, every now and then, to draw something that really challenges you. Great way to keep up your skills, while having some time between projects. Heh.

Nice work, all you artist people split me in half. On one hand, I am so jealous you can draw like that, even at age 12.5, and on the other it makes me want to be able to do that. By the way, you left your age and a date, now people can calculate how old you are. Should have photoshopped the date out too

Hey, yet another artist in the community! Cool - and totally caught off guard here. You never know who's got talent out there these days. Hope this isn't something you decided to "put aside" in lew of the veterenary practice?
Ever try washing in some color? You could have these same drawings copied onto some thicker stock paper and brush in some watercolor for fun. I see lots of detail in some of these you could get into.
