      Niiiiiiice.
      Good shit, Billy.

They all look great, considering the sword is still a work in progress. The cup already looks great. Sword looks good so far, as well. No crits. Very nice.

....I need to get my lazy ass back on Blender.

      Keep 'em comin, man.

I agree with that. Until i read the comment about the cup being unfinished I assumed it was supposed to be like that as it is styrofoam cup. I don't think it needs finishing. The sword's nice, though it needs to be completed. The only thing I didn't like so much was the candle, but it is well-done, it's just not my taste.

Wow, I'm now learning Blender, so it doesn't surprise that much thinking about it though. I'll probably switch from Maya PLE (free version, Maya costs $$$$), as Blender looks much easier to use AND is free. Maybe you should get a new graphics card. You can get something that will make your experience MUCH more pleasant for only about $70.

Blender is a bit harder to use than maya but its WORTH IT. Maya is way to expensive...

And especially since I use linux now I can still use blender

ps that gun is really nice its all shiny

Yeah, Blender is definitely worth it. It may be a bit harder to use than Maya, but it's much easier to learn. I just wish all the tutorials were actually completed for it, as i am using the Noobs to Pro tutorial, and while the completed or almost completed tutorials are great, the "developing" ones, which aren't complete/nearly complete, are basically unusable., which is too bad because they could be really good, and personally I think they are pretty critical for advancing.

P.S. I am still lovinng that styrofoam cup. It is one of those unfinished masterpieces that wouldn't be a big deal completed, but are so nice when the final touches have not been added on, proof that hyper-detailed meshes with complex textures aren't everything.

I recently started drawing rather than blendering, the reason for this is because CG painted images look 100x better than 3d images. they take way less time, and when completed they look very organic and stylized. Since the only reason I do anything with art is for drawing/ showing my dreams, I figure its the path to take.

Anyway its important to note that these aren't really that great, I'm just putting them here so I can see how I improve over time. I'm planning to stick with this for a few years and soon when I get better with drawing things and getting perspective down I'll buy a pad for my computer and go all digital.
(sorry about images dirtyness, I dont have paint shop or anything anymore )

perspective for all images came from my head...

      C&C appreciated

also, does anyone know any good sketching sites that I could use to help me progress? I've been at it for like a year now and I've progressed substantially. But I think its about time to start getting some crits so I can really start training
