This is the writing I'm working on. I'm hoping to get it published, when it's finished.

      Microsoft Word download link: http://savefile.com/files/383903

      Rich text file format: http://savefile.com/files/383907

Please don't post to say that it's long, so you didn't read it.

i havent read your novel yet, i am downloading it..but i just thought that it would be good to mention that i too am writing a novel and i am on page 23, i was thinking of posting it up but i decided to wait until the novel was completed and hopefully published... i do not have a titlte yet...but all i can say is that it has repeated allusions to Washington Ervings "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" and it involves one mans struggle (or embracement?*) of the *demons/dark erges inside of him

*i havent entirely decided on the outcome yet...

I just started reading. Just wanna know if your story is about a boy who has epic adventures in his lucid dreams???
And how old are you? I also write, but film scripts. The one character in my story is obsessed with lucid dreaming and uses it as an escape from reality.
I want it thick and long and to keep me up all night... I'm talking about the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows book you pervs!!!

      Nope, it isn't.

It's rather like Eragon, which I realised last night.

      I'm 16.

Im sorry im doing waht you said not to do
I havent read your stroy yet, but i mabout 2 as soon as ive wrote this post
      Im just wodnering about soemthing
Ive been writing short stories for a while
      about 20 pages
Ive never figured how to write anything longer than that
when I write my short storeis, I ahve a begining,
      and i begin
      I odnt ahve a plan,
I use my instincts and plots unfolds itslef
At the end I edit slighlty to make any neccesary changes
Ive always wondered if this would work with a novekl, but never really had the guts to try
Im just wodnering how you wrote yours
to you have a full plan
do you know how your story will unfold
or are just writing with a basic guideline of intent?
      Thanks
and good luck with the story
IF u to get it published,
let me know where I can get a copy and I will

Oh no, please do not make it like Eragon. Eragon seems to be like plagiarism on its own. (I'm not accusing you of plagurism) But if you make your story LIKE Eragon, then it is LIKE all the other stories Eragon is LIKE and that is a bad idea...

I don't want to intrude, but I've been working on several stories and have about fourty pages on a couple of them. I just have a bad habit of starting new stories

I don't have a clear outline, but when I come up with an idea for several good events ("scenes," I call them), I find some way to tie them together into something that forms a cohesive plot. I don't know if this will all work out in the end, but I don't plan on doing this for a career; just for fun. I'd say that at least know where your story is going and where it's going to end up, and be certain of several points along the way that will lead up to that conclusion. Other than that, I don't think there are many rules to writing, especially if it's just for fun.

What do you think, Sticktator? (And I'll try to get to your story some time soon )
