This was recorded a few years ago. Music and lyrics written by me, guitar and vocals are me, bass played by my mate Timmy, drums by another mate Tim.

Hopefully i'll get some more songs up there in the near future. I want to use my dreams as a source of inspiration in my songwriting.

Just one or two mixing tips:

The electric guitar needs to come down, vocals are good and everything else up a tad. Not a bad recording for a garage band (is this a garage band?)

Not my cup of tea, this kind of music, but certainly not bad.

I agree that the mix isn't quite there but it's not a bad song. It reminds me a lot of a band I used to jam out to but, dammit, I can't think of their name right now and the CD is buried.

I've got a bunch of cassette recordings of some of the bands I've played drums for throughout the years. They're all "live" recordings and suffer the same problem. The sound is mixed to sound proper in person but not tailored for the recording. Live sound is different because you've got the guitars and bass going through their own amps and so little of their sound makes it to the mixer. And it's even worse if you just set a tape deck down and press record. Then you get all kinds of noise.

Thanks for the feedback guys, it was actually recorded and mixed by a friend of ours who was studying a music production course, as an assignment. I definately agree, the drums and bass were too soft. I was a little disappointed but hey i didn't have to pay anything for it!

Sounds good, man. I really like the vocals, too. Great melody.
I actually spent part of this morning playing along with it, using barre chords. It's fun to play, too.

I dug that CD out. The name of the band I was trying to think of is "Machinery" (album: "Reconstruction"; 6-Cylinder Records #CD8820002). Your song sort of reminds me of that album.

Oh and Artelis, we are just some friends who got together this one time to record. Tim is a really good drummer, we hadn't rehearsed with him before the day this was recorded!

There's another song up there now from the same recording session. Our friend did some weird stuff to the vocals and at one point it doesn't match up, i know. And the guitar is a little out of time in parts too, my bad.
