      My Work

I will post any work I do in this thread, so I don't have to clutter this forum with small poems and other fragments.

Here's a short poem I thought up yesterday:

      Sometimes I feel
      That I'm wearing lead shoes
I try to fly, but am too heavy
      What is weighing me down?
Is it fear? Is it god? Is it life?
      I fly in my dreams
      I fly in my hopes
What is it that keeps me from flying?

No man has seen the sunset
No man has felt my pain
No man has seen the Beauty
In the color of the rain

These are just the raw pictures, they look a bit better with a little cropping.

      Here's a poem for you:

Man trots clueless through the world
Ignoring that tapistry before him unfurled
Before him lies the greatest glory
Hidden behind his sad life story
      Never looking, never seeing
      Ignorant of his very being
He walks as greatest beauties hide
Without an angel as his guide

      Another poem:

I peer through the window in the back of my head
I wander and wonder if I really am dead
I watch life slide across the floor
Accross the fields, and out the door
The door that leads out into space
So far from warm mother's embrace
I float up, tired of life
Tired of trouble, tired of strife
I try to escape, but life pulls me back in
And I once again find myself in my own skin

'all of the moments that already passed/
try to go back and make them last.'

I turn off the light and I fall asleep soon.
I search in my head for the door to the moon.
I open the door and fall out into space,
Below lies the moon in great splendor and grace.
I drift down, down, down twoards the great Lunar Plain.
Down, down, down, twoards my angel's domain.
She sighs as she wakes then her eyes meet with mine.
They swallow me up and our souls intertwine.
We then separate for god does not allow,
Mortals and Angels their love to avow.

Here's a song I made up while driving to work it isn't much without the music, or even with it, but I needed a place to put it down:

I wish that I could learn to fly
I'd fly up so high and touch the sky
I'd look down on all Humanity
My friends call this dream insanity

refrain: I wish that I could learn to fly x4

I was walking down the street one day
I saw a man in black and he said hey
Jesus Christ is lord and savior
I told him that I'd heard it all before

      refrain

I read that man forgot how he could fly
He dies just before his wings can dry
      Maybe he'll fly another day
I'd still like to find another way

      refrain

      Poem

      The Number Man
      With numbers can
      End life's great dream
      So it would seem
      He never has
      Come so far as
      To solve his dreams
      Though his mind teems
      With ways to solve
      What suns disolve
      When up they rise
      Dreams they despise
      The number man
      From his dreams ran
      Sought out the sun
      So he could shun
      What numbers fail
      To put to scale
      What they succeed
      To veil in creed
      The creed upheld
      By man impelled
To see the world in numbers.

      Some creative prose:

      Night

The night devours the day, a shroud is cast over the heavens. Do the heavens see the deeds of men from behind the veil of night? Only the lonely moon casts his eyes upon the earth, but even he must close his eyes. The Earth washes away its painting of light, revealing its black color. Man tries to defeat the night, but its power is irresistable. The light he shines out into the darkness is swallowed by the night. Man stands defenseless against the power of the darkness. Countless horrors swarm unseen around him. He is crippled by his fear of what he does not know. His greatest fear lies in uncertainty, his only fear lies in uncertainty, uncertainty is his fear. If you embrace the night you become more than a man, you become free. Place your foot firmly on the unseen ground, run into the darkness. Annihilate your fear with firm faith in uncertainty, clear sight of the night.

It's been a while since I've posted anything here but I'm feeling creative.

There is a name, I cannot read it
There is a voice I cannot hear
It tells me answers to the questions
Dreamt up by my thoughts and fears

There is a face, I cannot see it
There is a figure coming near
I cannot sense its ghostly presence
With my mortal eyes and ears

I feel a force, I dare not name it
I see its work now every day
Behind a wall of veiled perception
It leads my life a different way
