I am using FL studio and plugins for all that stuff. But most of the work is done using plugins and good samples. Mostly all of my work starts as an experimentation which I start to like overtime and then I work on it to shape a new track. Thanx for cool comment. This pushes me forward working. Adraw

I think I will find it hard to use the Piano Roll with one track whilst referring to another track's notes and chords etc. Do you?

Step sequencer to layer drums and piano roll to compose mellodies and chords. Piano roll is too complicated to work fast within it, but you can adjust length of notes, which can help when designing effective bassline. Yess. the reference. That makes some problems too. There is one solution called ghost channels, but i dont really know how to use them.... Time to learn I guess.
