Consider it a habit to get rid of, if you're asking for advice. If it's a style you wish you keep, however, that's entirely up to you. The composition of a shot can be enhanced depending on how the background and other elements of the foreground are laid out with respect to the subject. Graphic design revolves around the placement of visual elements so that the resulting image is engaging and not cluttered at the same time. If you were to photograph a person on a mountaintop, for example, you might want to consider leaving the person towards the right side of the frame, while leaving the breathtaking view of everything below the mountain more to the left. The atmosphere it creates for the image would be different than that of leaving the person right in the middle of the shot. The person can still be the subject and off to the side. Try messing around with the idea. |

Normally I'd have more to say, but uh... what exactly are you expecting of them? |

Thanks Invader and Vampyre (love those two pics btw!). I guess it is a matter of preference then... I definitely prefer the second of the tree pictures. |

Another thing you could try is to try and take pictures that convey a type of atmoshpere, tone, or emotion. Kinda like music and art. Take pictures that you feel convey a certain type of message. |
