Tell Me About Quantum Communication.

No clue what it is, but after introducing a friendofafriend to lucid dreaming, he offered to teach me (about) quantum communication I want to learn more about it. My current understanding about it is (correct if wrong):

- Use thoughts to change matter.
- It's 'marketed' in an incredibly gimmicky way in which one of the first things you learn about it is that 'the government doesn't want you to know this'.

I'm not so sure on quantum communication, but I'm gathering it builds up on entanglement? But my advise is to always go to actual scientific physics websites (or books, lectures, etc) first. If you feel like it, you can further read about these things on those "secretive pages", but I think to actually determine fact or fact based theory from bull shit or speculation, it is vital to have some form of fundamental understanding first.

Thanks for the link. Gonna have to read it tomorrow, one paragraph in and I can't keep focused.

It's 02:44 right now, not the best time to be learning new things as I understand it.

Anyone else heard of this? I'm incredibly skeptical of this, and if the guy tries to sell me something I'm probably gonna flippabitch.

Well, you have to realize the mind has a job to do. It is not walking without legs, breathing without lungs, flying without wings, it is about judgment. If it cannot do that job, what the hell does all the rest matter?

Hah, I know that rather well - at least, well enough to understand what the job is and how to do that job correctly. I made a half-hearted judgment on quantum communication when I was first presented with the concept yesterday that it was hokum, and I say half-hearted because I wasn't adequately informed of whether or not it was a real thing. Asking here was simply a way to qualify and fortify my belief in my own judgment, though I can't say I was genuinely expecting anyone here to know what it was enough to explain what quantum communication claims. After all, given the choice between thinking about it + not asking about it, and thinking about it + asking about it, the choice seemed logical.
