Ask you nothing. That's easy and leaves lots of options.

None of which I will exercise.

Ok. (sorry Howie, you were a bit too late on the draw, so I'm stepping on your toes. Hehe.)

The very first creature born, that could be called a "chicken" has to have had two parents that were (while, possibly, of similar species) not called "chickens." It would be the mixing of these two creatures' traits, in the form of an offspring, that create what we now call "a chicken," and this new creature would not exist, before the egg.

I sort of agree with that, but it is also a paradox. How did two different species create offspring? I think it was a slow process that happened over a long period of time. And then where does the egg come from? what species developed the egg before it existed in the first place?

Howie, what is a paradox in time?

The parents would be of the same species, but "ancestors" of the chicken. They would also have to have already been egg-laying creatures.

slimey, oozing gunk that makes more of itself, like algae, came before both chickens and eggs. Gunk begat chickens, plants and people.

The gunk itself is made from stardust, thrown off of supernovas that happened aeons before.

      Therefore, we are all stargunk.

      How's that for chop-logic?

      Sounds good to me!

So it is fair to say that fried eggs and ham were around before wings and beer?

The concept of species as hard and fast divisions in nature is an artificial construct for convenient categorization. There is a spectrum of chicken-ness, and where you draw the line is arbitrary. Therefore the question is not valid.

Well I believe O, as animals evolve they get slightly different, for example an animal might give birth to a slightly different animal which over a period of years give birth to the chicken we all know and love.

Think of how men were supposed to have evolved from apes, at first we would have loads of fur and climb trees, then we learnt to stand on 2 legs and then slowly gave birth to new species to become what we are today.

      In short:
I have a book of ideas and inventions. My birth name is Jason. Some spell it jayson some say Jay, others J and so on.
To attribute to my collection, I one day thought of Jation. Jation the ©reation.
