I'm bi-racial - American Indian (Choctaw) and White (Scots-Irish). Writer by profession. Married to a great guy and have a wonderful 13 y.o. pit bull and a naughty 1 y.o. cat.

I love music (reggae, country, soul, and rock), sporty cars, good food, and dogs, particularly pit bulls. I'm into dreaming, yoga, Tai Chi, hiking, and bird watching. I love animals and nature...except for crickets - they freak me out I won't eat beef, lamb, or pork and eat very little poultry or fish. The only red meat I'll eat is deer hunter under fair chase restrictions (e.g. shot and bagged in the wild). I make really good fried chicken with cream gravy and drop biscuits.

I'm a Scorpio and Earth Rooster lol. I'm endlessly curious about life, have a strong stomach, am nerdy, high strung, demanding of myself but gentle and patient with others. I love to laugh, sing, and dance and don't waste a lot of time worrying what other people think.

I haven't settled on a religion and don't know if I ever will, but respect many of them if they are practiced with kindness, awareness, and without force or harm to those who don't believe the same.

I'm Chelsey (you're free to call me that on the forums if you like), I'm fifteen, I love music (country and rock generally, fav singers are Montgomery Gentry), I love to sing, I enjoy video games (any Sonic the hedgehog fans out there?), and recently Lucid Dreaming is becoming quite a passion for me as well. I try to get the most out of life. After a horrible experience several years ago that stayed with me mentally and emotionaly for nearly 2 years, I've wanted nothing more than to make up for the time I wasted feeling scared and upset during those two years. I'd rather not talk about that experience, though, and just leave it at this: I have an unending passion for enjoying life. And although I can be quite shy, I love to talk to people! (quite the contradiction there, hm?)

By the way, I'm really new here, so take that 'I love to talk to people' quote as a hint.

I'm myself at the ripe age of **. I have a rather wide background of experiences, including (but not limited to):
      • semi-pro magician for several years.
      • electronics tech (and occasional designer) for over 17 years.
      • woodcarver since June 1991.
      • lucid dreamer since Jan, 2001.
      • own a near-museum-quality video game and paraphernalia collection.
      • fastest clocked time to solve the Rubix's Cube: 40 seconds.
      • worked for a Nintendo-Atari-Intellivision warranty repair center for a total of about 4-6 years.
      • pro musician for almost six years.
      • first paying job at age 14 or 15.
      • was known for teaching the teachers things.
      • owned an electronics repair shop for over 6 years, with three employees (besides myself) at one point.
      • delivered pizza for Papa Johns for a full year.
      • very handy and can construct anything I set my mind to.
      • was in the "world's largest shaving cream fight" in the mid 80's.
      • played trombone in school bands for around 5 years.
      • started working in bars at three months before my 16th birthday.
      • brewed beer, champagne and hard cider for several years.
      • has been engaged once and another time, kind of.
      • among other things, designed and built a piece of equipment to test the high voltage capacitors and diodes in microwave ovens.
      • repair of gold and silver jewelry for several years.
      • mistakenly dated a stripper for several months at the age of 17.
      • Owned a small arcade of gaming machines, vending machines and novelty mechanical wonders, including: 3 pinball machines, about 17 stand-up video game machines, a "Wowie Zowie" gumball machine, am awesome quarter game I made, 7 pachinko machines (soon to be 8, thanks to DV's pj ), bunch of misc. vending machines and my favorite, a four-player Gauntlet machine.
I've already said too much. And yes, I know the total of just the years I've mentioned is over my age but many things were done during the same time frames (often working two jobs, plus hobbies).

EDIT: Those links are to photos I found with Google image search. They were not taken by myself.

Wow, I've actually impressed some one for a change. Yeah, I've done quite a bit more than that too, but I don't want every one thinking I'm too full of crap.

      hahah.
I can still solve them but I haven't done it in so long. I've got to brush up on the moves again. You see, solving the Rubix Cube isn't what most people think it is. The popular conception is that you have to be a genius but, in reality, you only have to learn sequences of moves. No given move set will solve the cube from any random jumble but, there is a certain sequence in which you solve the faces. You actually solve it one layer at a time. The true secret, however, is that there are certain sets of moves that you use to move a piece from a given area to the desired location without disrupting the pieces you've already placed.

The solve sequence is as follows: 1: Solve first layer (get all pieces of one side in their proper locations, turned the correct way). 2: move the four edge pieces of the middle layer into position, facing the proper direction. 3: Move the four corners of the final layer into place. 4: Rotate the four corners of final layer to face the proper direction. 5: Place the four edge pieces of final layer. 6: Rotate the four edge pieces of final layer into proper orientation.

But, yeah, I used to impress the hell out of people at school by doing that. Let people mix it up then solve it before their eyes in times they thought were impossible.

I actually learned when I was about 7 or 8 years old from a little book called "Solving the Cube". I still have that book and use it every so many years to re-learn the patterns. I think the longest move set involves 22 turns.

Hmm, time to see the unrated biography of CoLd!

      • Life is happy
      • Parents get divorced in the summer before grade 4
      • Dad lives with girlfriend, sisters, mom and me have to move out because we can't afford the house (which was nice, too)
      • Completely friendless in grade 6, isolated from friends
      • In grade 7 I moved back to my old neighbourhood, grew my hair out and ditched the glasses
      • In grade 8 I smoked weed for the first time in October, and did it once more near the end of the year
      • Began smoking weed regularly in grade 9, thought I was nuts
      • Started playing guitar, improved fast
      • Got caught on weed, grounded for a month, started blazing at school and doing E with my friend Jack
      • Got caught on E, curfewed the entire summer, stop doing anything altogether
      • In grade 10 I picked up my grades, smoked weed occasionally and drank often
      • Started writing songs
      • First time doing mushrooms
      • Went to Maui for 17 days, best time of my life!
      • Mom met her boyfriend, pack up and move to another city an hour away
      • In grade 11 my cat died, I tried coke, and mushrooms four more times, yet kept my grades at an A average
      • Discovered Lucid Dreaming, have had about eight lucid dreams since I started

      I could make a movie!

Starry starry night, paint your pallet blue and gray,
Look out on a summers day,
with eyes that know the darkness of my soul.

(Emlee) can i take a guess that you like the show the l word then?

      I, too, am fifteen. Hoorah!
& Yes, the L word is a very awesome series of which I am trying to get my father to buy for me. My teenage charm must be failing slightly...I'll have to bump it up so I can get my way. Rofl

& am I allowed to post again? To add more? I'm going to anyhow.

I attend a pre-12 grade school with a total population of about 300.
I am nearly always part-way through a book and any time I am bored, I day dream.
I love to sing and dance eventhough i am not the best at either activity.
I am a very shy person at first but once I warm up, I have a vivid personality.
I love to laugh and am very passionate in things I do and believe in/enjoy.
I keep my hair relatively short and in some interesting style.
I am big into body modification. (I currently have 2 piercings per ear, a nose ring and a belly button ring.)
I write short stories and poetry when I feel the mood is right.
I am big into my religion but am not your "typical" Christian gal.
      Somewhere weakness is our strength
      I'll die searching for it...
      I believe that there's hope

      I'm 16 years old

My name is Rob (bet you didn't guess that, right :p)

I plan to join the army (royal electrical and mechanical engineers) after xmas

I like to draw even though I'm really terrible at it

I Just finished my compulsary education and will be doing basically nothing for the next 6 months

I used to do loads of weight training, but gave up after a couple of years showed I wasn't making as much progress as other people and lost motivation.

I have a (possibly unhealthy :p) obsession with Eminem music even though I don't even really like rap.

I have a similar obsession with Delta Goodrem's music too.

I like to think that I'm quite open minded.

I'm a fairly introverted person (which I hate about myself more than anyting else and I'm trying to change).

I love to write stories and I'd love to write a book, but like with the drawing thing I'm terrible at it and It's just never going to happen.

I love music more than anything else (my ears hurt I wear earphones so much) and I want to learn to play the piano. I've had SonicStage (the Sony mp3 player equivelant of itunes) for about 6 months and I have 3500 songs on there already.

That's pretty much all there is to say.

Adopted Megabenman although he disappeared a while ago.

Hmm, I feel like adding more.

I have both of my ears pierced, and I'm going to get my nipple done at the end of the summer.

      I am Canadian.

I'm different than anyone you'll ever meet.

I've written seven songs, including vocals. I am also self taught and have been playing guitar strong for two and a half years. Needless to say, music is my life.

I've never had to pay for a haircut in my life.

I've always been exceptionally gifted at storytelling/writing and poetry.

Open minded to just about everything.

My goal is to own a recording studio and produce music, including my own (maybe get noticed?).

Starry starry night, paint your pallet blue and gray,
Look out on a summers day,
with eyes that know the darkness of my soul.

I live in Texas, and no I don't own a horse, but I use to own a goat.
I don't really like talking about myself and I'm not sure why, I guess I don't really see a need in most situations, but this is nice.
I am not good at telling jokes, stories, or describing abstract ideas. I guess I am more "strait to the point". I need to work on describing things though.
      I like to laugh.
I like all kinds of music and movies.
I like the city more than the country, but I would like to have some land in the country before it is all gone.
I would like to learn to golf.
      I want to fish more.
      I like video games.
I think it would be cool to work in the video game or movie industry.
I think I am open minded.
I don't like to judge people.
I don't like people that judge.

      Hrmm, well,

      My name is Mike,

      I'm 18 (and about 3 or 4 months)

I am 1 of 2 brothers, the younger, my older brother is 23 living far off in St. Louis

I live in Parsipanny, New Jersey.

I've had my share of issues over the past years. I had my childhood friends, but never felt it was quite as it should be. I came from a religeous school, (I now have atheistic views) and made a transition into the public high school system, which was quite difficult, knowing no one.

After 3 1/2 hard-ass years of never quite finding my place in this place, but acheiving almost all A's and B's, I began an insane attack on myself (I guess subconciously trying to improve myself) involving anorexia, and I guess you could call it a major panic attack or a nervous breakdown, running excessively, hundreds of pushups a day and a severe depression. I graduated by means of home instruction, and now intend to put all of that sh*t behind me, and move on, into the more mature world, once I feel ready. (That's another issue)

I still struggle alot with pessimism, sad world views, thoughts about dieting/losing weight/anorexia , and lots of sad thoughts, but am currently trying to find my way through life, whatever it may be. , the first small step, beggining college in September.

I had 2 girlfriends years back, and 3 years ago 1 serious one...

If you've got issues you'd like to speak of, really people, anything, I'm willing to listen.. I may be going into that anyway in one way or another...

      oooh more thoughts

-I have a fairly good knowledge of Spanish from 4 solid years of study, and travels to Latin American countries, I like to work with my hands, sketch in my own way, write the occassional poem, play the occassional song, (acoustic guitar) and do a whole lot of deep thinking... and, did I mention, lots of compulsive excercise?

Lucid dreaming has become quite a big thing for me, and just recently I've had my best lucid dream yet, and became quite inspired. I've recognized the potential...

If you'd like a night on the town with bro, your possible future bachelor, call 1-800-hot-4-bro (Don't really, I have no idea what that number is)
