Tell me about working out without weights

Hi, lately I started doing strength training and am loving it, but here France I can't get to the gym. So, does anyone know of any good exercises and havz good pointers on what I can do to keep in shape here?

I have a little pool which I've been in lot, but it doesn't seem like enough.

Push ups and sit ups. Push ups will take care of your tricepts, chest, and shoulders. Sit ups for abs.

For legs, just do slow squats with no weight.

I forget what it's called... something like "self resistance."

For arms: Do curls without the dumbbell, flex your triceps for the resistance, you will have the perfect amount of resistance for every rep, and work your triceps. Then do a push-down using your biceps for resistance. I've been doing it since I sprained my thumb and can't use real weights and my definition has skyrocketed, I may never use weights again.

You can do this for every muscle group since they are always in pairs, certain ones may not work though if one is a lot stronger than the other (shins and calfs for instance.)

Alex, I just wanted you to know that I almost came onto this thread and said something sarcastic. But! Because you are Alex, THE Alex, I didn't. Construct judgments and criticisms accordingly, if you please.

Yoga. Look up instructions for Yoga postures ( Asanas )

Actually, it's called dynamic tension, but you summed it up very well. As long as you're familiar with the basic exercises for each muscle group, you can get just as good of a work out as with weights.

And like you said, being able to double up on the body parts (Ex. a reverse pushup works your back , and the forward motion your chest) is a fantastic time saver.
