I'm sick of hearing about Princess Diana on the news, yeah it not nice that she died but there just over doing it and its starting to annoy me, they have like these montages with cheesy music in the background. She's dead, why dwell on something that happened 10 years ago, i bet i won't get a tenth anniversary day 10 years after my death. Its ridiculous.

I could have seen SEVEN programs on Diana on TV today. In one day. Seven! BBC and ITV were showing the same program at the same time.

I think the people who post in Beyond Dreaming sometimes make claims that seem a little strange.

      EDIT

      **** Just my opinion ^______^ ****

So very correct. Yes, she's gone. Yes, it was a tragic event. Yes, she will be missed. Now let her rest in peace. And while you're at it, let the rest of the world take a break from it as well.

And I saw three magazines in the supermarket checkout line today featuring her on the cover. One was a whole "collectors edition" magazine about her life in her last two decades. (All while standing in back of a lady who was bleed from her arm all over the place. What a mess, that off-topic scenario was. It's a good thing there was a roll of paper towels nearby and the manager was kind enough to serve up the first aid kit.)

My most controversial view would probably be that a human being who molested and killed a child (or did something similar) keeps his intrinsic human value and has not only a right to live but also a right to psychiatric help. I also believe that this person should be forgiven if he changes, and in that case, should be given the right to live happily and peacefully after reintegration into society, with no time spent behind bars *just so that he would be behind bars*. His psychological constitution when he committed the crime aren't relevant for whether he deserves treatment or not.

It is kind of idealistic, but there are enough people out there who would lock up a child-molester lifelong even if there was a 100% foolproof way to change him to the better. And to me that would be inhuman. So this is only my theoretical opinion... I don't actually have the practical side covered.

PS I also believe that a mass-murderer and a terrorist do not deserve death or pointless imprisonment, but treatment, independent of whether they can be deemed psychologically sane or not.

Wow, Korittke. I'm not going to argue you here but, let's just say that you've peaked my controversy meter way about the red. In fact, that's so crazy and backwards that you may have just earned a gold medal for being on the wrong side of a controversial topic. Congratulations
