      Movies

What are some movies I could watch that are similar in genre to that of Vanilla Sky, or Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

I liked these movies quite a bit and I'm wondering if there are as good as movies out there as these, or some of your favorite movies.

I heard High School Musical is very similar to Vanilla Sky.

You could always watch LOST if you are looking for a crazy thriller that makes no sense.

      The similarites are endless.
Though. The movie "lucid" is somewhat around the same lines as the movies you mentioned.

I haven't yet seen Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind (though i would really like to), but i have seen Vanilla Sky and i get what you're going for here.

      I would recommend The Fountain.

Well High School Musical is for 8 year olds - learned that in about 30 seconds on google.

Also I've seen The Fountain, it's a good movie, thats the genre I'm looking for. I'll search up lucid and find out if it really exists.

what if it exist??? you think I'm bullshitting you.

      http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0434165/

The trailer and the plot summary doesn't sound like it that kind of genre but if you actually want to take a look at it.. the ending and everything happening within the movie .. is what Vanilla Sky bring to awarness as well.

I'm taking it you mean movies with psychological overtones, dealing with aspects of the mind like dream control, cognition, awake vs. sleeping state, dimension crossing, etc...

      Mirror Mask
      The Butterfly Effect
      The Cell
Johnny Mnemonic (from what I can remember)
      Paprika
      The Matrix series
      Cool World
      Pan's Labyrinth
      Labyrinth

Uhm...can't think of too many more right now, but I'll probably come up with something.

waking life is a great movie to watch. its about this kid that keeps unknowingly waking up in dreams and he starts becoming lucid. its an animated movie but it really makes you feel like you're in a dream. the dialogue is very intelligent and at some points gives me shivers down my spine. its absolutely brilliant a must see
