Tell me a term for excessive socialization.

This is bothering me. I can't seem to thin of a word for when a person, or group of people, put themselves into social situtations too much. I tried to say sociopathic, but that's not really what I'm getting at, because that's like if your violent or something. Then I thought, socialite?

I guess socialite would be the closest word for what i am thinking of. The reason I say this is because I think that the amount of materialism present in all of our post-industrial societies causes our population, especially the youth, to socialize too much. Sure, I don't think there's anything wrong with talking, making friends, inviting another family over for dinner, etc. but I think some people do excessively.

What bothers me is when teenagers, or even adults, will spend hours talking on the phone/texting/facebooking like its going out of style, and be totally ignorant of things that actually matter. I was in church a few months ago, and we were writing thank-you notes to people for thanksgiving, and NOBODY in my sunday school class but me knew how to ADDRESS AN ENVELOPE. WTF. I literally thought i was surrounded by retards. Teenagers have spent so much time socializing among each other that they need to go back to kindergarten to learn basic knowledges in life, and they also do not know how to act around people that aren't in their little social groups.

The reason i am ranting now is because this family invited my family over this afternoon just to hang out and talk or whatever. Their daughter is one of my friends and shes 17. I went over to her to say hi and she was just like "hi" and didnt talk. The other three people in their family, husband, wife, 12 year old son were all talking and playing games with us and the whole lot. But she just went upstairs and watched some movie about everyone cheating on each other while we were all downstairs. I guess she doesn't like having to talk to adults or whatever. The whole time she was on her phone texting her boyfriend/s.

I think this is a problem that much of the young people in America have. People are too busy going to clubs and chasing skirts to give a crap about their history, culture, origins, the fact that their government is raping them, etc. etc.

and dont even get me started on mass feminization

If anyone has a right to criticize the youth it's me, because I am a youth myself, and I think the American people need to go back to their roots when people actually had class, and everything wasn't about getting sex or drugs or alcohol (the lucky 3 that everything in pop culture revolves around).

So if you could just give me the term for that I would be grateful.
