The reason why so many illogical things go past us in our dreams is that we are not awake enough to be able to recognize them. When we go to sleep, the critical / logical section of our brain shuts down as it needs serotonin to function. When this section of our brain is shut down, we do not analyze or think through things logically, we just accept them for what they are.
Try doing a WBTB and staying awake for a while. Your serotonin levels rise in the early morning, and if you stay awake for 30 minutes to bring you to full awareness, you'll see a huge difference, and will catch those ridiculous dream signs.
