These are some techniques that I use to help me have a lucid dream, and I hope that they will work for others as well. Also feel free to post what works for you. Hope you enjoy!

1. Every time you walk under a doorway, tell yourself in your head to wake up. I found this one a useful one because you are bound to walk under a doorway sometime in your dream.

2. Do reality checks. Pinch yourself, look in the mirror, try to see if your finger will go threw your hand. Before doing checks, ask yourself if you are dreaming. Over time in your dreams, you will perform these checks due to the fact that you normally due them while awake, once you notice that you are in fact dreaming, you could wake up into a lucid dream.

3. through out the day, keep telling yourself that you will have a lucid dream. For me, this doesn't work that much, but there are those few occasions where it does.
