      Problems, like many others

So, here is my problem: I cannot attain consistent, intentional lucidity.

I have tried mantras throughout the day, getting in the habit of doing constant RCs, keeping a DJ, and even waking up in the middle of the night with the intention to WILD.

This weekend, I took 2 naps with the intention being to WILD. The closest I came was day one where I simply had total sleep paralysis. After that (and subsequent WILD attempts), I failed.

I cannot seem to A. lose focus enough to let my body sleep on its own while attemping to WILD, and B. regain the focus I lose if I fall asleep. My Dream Recall is normally fairly good, but I cannot seem to figure out where I am failing.

I want to try CAN-WILD, but I do not have a Windows based laptop (or PC at the moment, only my Linux partition works on it), and I own a Droid based phone. I have an iPhone at my disposal, but I really don't want to spend more money if I can avoid it since I switched to Droid.

Can anyone tell me where I am need to improve, if there are any Android-based apps for CAN-WILDing (list Apple ones too, I'll just deal with it), and anything to help me at all? I am trying to improve my visualization skill, since if I look at something, close my eyes, I see just black, but my memory knows exactly what it looks like. Will this training help?

For your problem with lucidity and not being able to be lucid often enough, i say practice makes perfect. Keep RC'ing everyday, and when you wake up try and remember what its like in the dream. For example if in your dreams you feel light headed, or anything significant, RC. I say find things that are in your dreams and RC to them in waking life. And i'm not sure if the visualization training will help. I've never done it. Nor have i wilded very successfully. I have tried the canwild before and it did work once for me though.

Should I try to induce sleep paralysis more, to get accustom to the feeling? I get panicked because as a kid I'd wake up suffocating.

      Thanks for the advice.

Yes definitely. Get used to the feeling, that way it doesn't spook you when trying to wild. I'm still getting used to it myself. I hear weird stuff. Like my mom talking to me. And just loud noises.
