Question A few questions on a technique/SP rolling?

Hey guys, I am looking for some answers on a few questions, I have used the search bar but couldnt quite seem to find the info im after, hoping you can help!

      1) - I am looking for the name of a certain technique (I think its a technique it might just be part of SP ) that Im sure I have read about, I tryed it this morning and it worked so well that I would like to find out as much as I can about it....

The technique seems to be along the lines of "Following the sound of silence" ... hard to explain which is probably why I cant seem to find it without knowing the name of it. This morning I woke up during REM and noticed a ringing in my ear (like the kind you get after being in a club and then come home to an silent room) I concentrated on that 'ringing silence' sound and by concentrating on it I was able to - 'follow it' - suddenly I found myself vibrating really hard and in SP in just a few seconds. It was so fast and unexpected that I tensed up and came out of it....

Not to worry though because I was able to 'follow' that ringing sound and the vibrations and was able to retry nearly 10 times in a row, getting more comfortable with the vibrations and the sudden falling sensation. On the last time the ringing sound went away compleltly and I thought I had blown it....only to find out later that I had a false awakening...doh!

So my question is - is there any detailed info about this anywhere? Does it have a name? I understand its probably alot like any other DEILD technique (like sinking into the bed) but this one really seems to work sooo well for me that I want to find out alot about it so I can hopfully fine tune it!

The reason why I really like this is because the SP I got from it was vibrations (which seem to be connected to the 'ringing' noise. Other methods result in the SP being accompained by hallucinations which trips me out and makes me think/panic too much.

      2) After a few trys this morning (and also with other technqiues that result in SP) I became relaxed with the vibrations and the sudden 'falling sensation' but I couldnt seem to manifest a dream scene. Everything stayed sort of black. On the last attempt (which lead to a false awakening) I tryed to 'roll' which I have read about on these forums.

I read up about it this morning but still couldnt find an answer to this - when I tryed to roll I wasnt really sure If I was actually moving my real body or my dream self. It felt really strange like I was moving both and everything swayed and I felt dizzy for a few seconds like I had lost my balence - is that the normal sensation that acompanys the roll technique? Has anyone got any tips for turning SP in a Lucid dream? Mainly tips for when the SP doesnt have any HP or visuals with it?

      Thanks for any answers

Congrats. You've found an anchor that works pretty well for you. Keep trying, you'll get the hang of it.

As for the technique itself, it's basically a WILD. You used the ringing to keep you aware as you fell asleep. Other people try white noise, counting, and other things of that nature. Good job on finding one that works so well for you!
      Lucid dreams, gotta love em.
