Since you've already got good dream recall and were a natural lucid dreamer before I'd suggest the best thing to do is start practicing reality checks. - I find the most effective way to RC is to Ask yourself 'Am i dreaming? and then to hold your nose and try to breathe in through it, if you can breath with your nose pinched shut, you'll know its a dream and you'll become lucid!

If you can manage to reality check between 15 and 20 times per day for a few days to a week this should be often enough for the reality checking behaviour to carry over into your dreams, and you'll be having lucid dreams again in no time!

Also telling yourself you will have a lucid dream over and over in your head just as you are going to sleep (autosuggestion) seems to help for people who are/were natural lucid dreamers.

Like 3 years ago I used to have lucid dreams sometimes. Like 4 times a year, but I've always wondered what it would be like to control my dreams when ever I had one. Of course they were like 3 seconds each but I was still excited. Then I stumbled across this site this year. I would recommend trying some of the most common techniques that people use. DILD's, WILD's, and DEILD's. I started off with DILD's and tried WILD's, but they didn't work for me. DEILD's on the other hand are like WILD's but a lot more easier. DILD's require a lot of awareness during the day. So if your very aware then I would recommend it. Also if you have great dream recall I would recommend DEILD's. Theirs a lot of different techniques, but I would recommend trying these one's first. Just try each of them for a few months and see what works best for you. I personally like DILD's and DEILD's the most.
