      Binaural beat support

Hello dreamviews, its me with another problem

I have been permanently deaf in my left ear since birth. I was wondering: does this mean I cannot experience binaural beats? Also, I have heard of isochronic beats, but could I hear those?

I belive you'll not be able to experience them, since they need to hit both ears. About the isochronic, I don't know them.

Binaural tones rely on two seperate tones of slightly different frequency, one played in each ear, so that's a no-go. Isochronic tones, however, are a single tone and don't require stereo, as I understand it, so that should work.

Supernova is right it's just not possible. Don't bother paying for a track though, they're drop dead easy if you know what you're doing. I've been trying my hand at Audacity lately and while I'm far from an expert I think I could whip you up some isochronics. If you could give me some specs I'll see what I can do.

I'll need to know stuff like desired brainwave frequency, duration, background noise (white noise, pink noise, brown noise), etc.

I'm very interested to know if these can be effective.

as far as the isochronic tones I've only tried Imusic, and it did nothing for me. it was music and the pattern of the beats works for me.

i'm just saying stay away from imusic

If you pay for one of these ridiculously easy sound files, you're being ripped off big time. A binaural beat is just two different frequencies being played at the same to to different ears, a monaural beat is two different frequencies played to both ears, and an isochronic beat is just a tone that turns on and off at a desired rate. The music and crap they bundle in is only there to make you feel like their brand is better somehow. Not only does it just make them distracting, but it also makes them less effective. Colored noise is about the best you can get away with without degrading effectiveness.
