Normally, induction methods go into WILD, MILD, and DILD.
Here, I invented two methods that I would like people to test.
The XILD: eXperiment Induced Lucid Dream
As the name implies, you experiment with your environment. You just need to remind yourself to try doing impossible tasks periodically.
The IILD: Incubation Induced Lucid Dream
This seems to be a very easy way. Assuming you are familiar with the technique called "Dream Incubation," you can control non-lucid dreams indirectly by pre-programming them before sleep. Now, the simple method is to incubate a dream of using an imaginary "control machine" that notifies you of dreaming and allows you to control the dream world.
In fact, I used IILD in my first semi-lucid dream: I incubated holding a DOS command prompt and being the system administrator of a enormous simulation. Strangely, I did not realize that this "simulation" was my dream.
